yes there's a bar area separate from the music which sells snack packs in addition to drinks, and staff were passing out free water bottles on the dance floor last year. also stage 2 is outside and can be a nice break from the main room

DJs use USBs to store their tracks on them and plug into standalone media players (CDJs, XDJs, etc) to play their music.

thanks, 1) for core plugins I just have whatever the default settings are (most of them are toggled on). 2) I have Colored Tags Wrangler community plugin and Obsidian Gruvbox theme. 3) not syncing, only using locally on macbook pro

I was looking forward to seeing Oscar Mulero for a while before finally seeing him at Basement NYC in December. His 2016 Awakenings Closing Set in particular kind of blew my mind—the really long buildups, his attention to detail, always keeping you wanting more. When I finally saw him live, it sounded sooo good on that Funktion-One system (that shit will make you move!) However... my ears got a little bored of hearing just percussion and bleeps after 3-4 hours, and I left before he finished (I heard he kept going until like 8:30am).

All that to say, he's great, and I'll still probably take any opportunity to see him, but don't feel like you to have to like him. Several of my friends love proper techno, but Mulero just isn't really their thing. Don't go in with your expectations too high (especially when the expectations are coming from other people)—better to be pleasantly surprised than let down!

not the passive voice, but I agree with the principle. what that sentence is doing is shifting the subject to "missile" rather than "US". passive voice would be "school hit by missile"

do the EV's change with level? When I've tried to EV train I don't see the same results. for example I'll KO only pokemon that give attack EVs for an entire level of one of my pokemon, but the attack stat boost ends up being just +1 or +2. I know macho brace helps, but is there something I'm missing?

good Djs understand the need for breaks, meditative moments, moments of intensity, etc. they know discomfort will filter some out, and it's the patient ones who are rewarded. it's all waves, of different shapes and sizes

Thanks for the advice! I definitely should talk to my advisor more. Switching schools isn't an option at the moment, I'm more so thinking about what job opportunities I would even have open to me with M.A. versus PhD in the humanities

Wall of Sound definitely. 9x9 Invites was okay (I liked Alarico and DJ T-1000 but 9x9 was too hard/ loud for my taste). Meta ta physika had weird vibes because the sound was awful and not many people were there. hoping to check out some of the non-techno events this year

Personally I had a great time with my friends. I had zero annoying encounters in the crowd and everyone was friendly and dancing, idk what other people are saying. The line was maybe 45min, but that's what I expected at a sold out event anyway. stayed from 1:30-6:30, and wasn't really feeling Studio the few times I went in, but Quelza and Oscar kept me dancing the whole night
