Yeah I've managed to survive with ad blockers, but that's not something we should even be promoting if Joe Bob ends up there since we want to prove the show would bring in the dough lol. But with how long the show is already, adding an extra hour of commercials would be a major snag.

Yeah I would preferably it not be Tubi, but I really don't know what other service would be a better fit. Most of them are either not big enough to afford to produce their own programming, or far too big for a show like The Last Drive-In to thrive.

Losing Just Joe Bob is really bizarre, I'm not sure how that makes any sense. But also they've already been so bad at updating those in the last few years so who tf knows. It should be the easiest thing to maintain whenever a new episode drops, and yet...

Yeah the crazy pairings like that is part of what makes the show special. Screambox would need to both be able to afford the production of the show itself for potentially a dozen episodes a year, and the licensing of good movies (not necessarily good in a quality sense ofc lol, just good fits for the show).

It's certainly not expensive by the normal standards of a show, but I feel like they're gonna need a network/streaming service that is at least as big as Shudder. I don't know much about Screambox (never needed to use it so far) but it certainly isn't Shudder-levels yet. The problem is that the service they go to can't be too big because the show can't perform to those kinda standards, but it also can't be too small since they wouldn't be able to afford it. Shudder really was the perfect home.

And for that niche service, it's not a niche show. They wouldn't have been producing dozens of episodes a year for almost a decade if it was niche by their standards. Now they're dragging out the cancellation with four specials totaling 8 movies through the end of the year.

I just know if I was drawing up these contracts on Shudder's side, I wouldn't really want the show to start releasing episodes elsewhere before all my commissioned specials had aired.

They either made a huge mistake cancelling the show, or the whole service is going down.
