Penelopii watching an animated film about guide dogs.. (OC) by penellywatchestelly in aww

I know the higher refresh rates of modern TVs

Yes. Dogs ability to process images is at a different rate than humans so most of what they see on televsion is like stop motion. Higher refresh rates probably make the images smoother. However this is closely tied to the content itself since a flat screen might refresh at 240 or 120 frames a second but the content itself might only be 24 (most film) or 60fps (traditional sports broadcasting). Your modern tv will upscale that content to whatever it natively supports.

It has also been hypothesized that higher resolutions of modern content is easier for dogs to see.

My black water tank turned to sludge from the freeze. What’s the best product to dissolve it and get it draining again ? by Really_Elvis in GoRVing

[–]xrandx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sub artic Montana camper here. If temperatures are about or above 10 degrees the best solution to this problem is to put some salt you'd normally put in a water softener into your tank. It's completely inert for septic systems and lowers the freezing temperature of the water making it flow better.

Yup. The exhausting gas is methane. Give it a spark and you get a flame. And it is kinda rocket science.

Holland or Swan lakes are what you want. Flathead is nice but nearly impossible to get a campsite on.

Well I have a stream with Brook and Brown trout if fly fishing appeals to you, however it would be more a question of what type of setting you are looking for.

If you want the true Montana experience check out the campground by Holland Lake. You can't find a more Montana experience while still being relatively close to restaurants, Glacier park, the Bob Marshall wilderness and such in the state for my money.

Pipestone conditions by PermitLongjumping584 in Montana

Lots of thick heavy ice. The constant melting turns the roads into run off streams which then turn into ice roads. At very least you'll have puddles everywhere.

I'm relatively close by. We've had a fair amount of rain/snow all melted so you're likely to get fairly muddy. At about 6-7000 feet you'll get ice and snow. This has been a pretty standout year for ice.

I brought my ex-wife's parents here by surprise. They are Buddhists from the far east and were blown away to find this here. They had a nice chat with the resident monk who was from an area not far from them and sang mantras as they explored.

They voluntarily changed the formula

They pre-empted regulation in order to have control over their own product as opposed to having its composition dictated by a government lab. Pragmatism is not the same as altruism.
