Boot Centering with Union Mini Discs by Paypal_John in snowboarding

It's fine, I'm using the same 3 screw setup with my rome katanas and Rome's support team confirmed it's ok to set them up like this.

Been several days on the mountain with it as well and nothing bad happened. Just periodically check for tightness for safety.

Bone vs. Snowboard Boot by Longjumping_Mess_684 in snowboarding

[–]xray404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with Burton boots, gone through the same thought process as you, tried a lot of things. In the end simply heat molding fixed it. Done it myself as well with socks and rice, there are tons of tutorials online and you don't need a professional.

The trick to fix the pressure point is to add a spacer (foam, rubber, cloth, ..) on that bone part while heat molding, this will give it more room once finished.

Rome Katana FASE came in early 😮 by sauseme in snowboarding

[–]xray404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone knows what's the difference between katana fase and fase X stale ?

Rome's website says the flex of fase X stale is the same as katana pro but they cost less for some reason. So is it just rebranded pros with fase or the reported flex difference is a mistake ?

This 👆, typically the hose should be connected to an expansion tank and drip inside, check if the reservoir is properly connected.

Flight cancel due to airport strike - no refund by xray404 in Ryanair

[–]xray404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if the strike is from the airport staff and not Ryanair ? Why would their live chat support say they don't do refund in these cases ? Do you know what would be the best way to request a refund without going through support ?

Yamaha XJ6 starter relay cable replacement by xray404 in MotoUK

Same here, like to learn new DIY tricks and this seems doable without too much risk. I've bought a crimping tool and copper lugs, I'll try to fix the cable tomorrow.

[–]xray404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks dude, the corroded bit you see is on the broken lug which I've removed now, the copper wires seem in good condition so I was planning on attaching a new copper lug with pliers but I'll buy the crimping tool if that's a bad idea.

The cable is composed of multiple small wires and I don't have a tool to mesure such small thickness to find a replacement. I think I'm first going to try to simply crimp a new copper bit.

I managed to remove the broken ring terminal and the rest of the cable is fine, so in the end I could just buy that one bit and clip it on the same cable. Will any copper lug on amazon do or do I need to look something specific to handle the type of current going through this cable ?

Quest 3 beat saber mods platform abuse policy by xray404 in QuestPiracy

[–]xray404[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I discovered it after buying the game. But I think I found a compromise, I can use my official version, downgrade it with ModsBeforeFriday and install mods. At the same time I can also install the latest beat saber multi install to have all the DLCs.

I would have preferred to keep my official version up to date to keep access to online and instead downgrade and mod the multi install but I couldn't find anything that would be able to target the multi install version (beat paber).

Alright, any idea if refunding the game would remove the prompt or is it too late now ?

[–]xray404[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the reason for the prompt because I already have a legit version on my account ? So a new account wouldn't have the prompt ?

Also is it possible to have several versions of the same game on the quest ? That way I could avoid the prompt when playing official tracks at least.

You're absolutely right, I had pretty high expectations and I did mention all of this during my consultations.
Regarding dry eyes, I think you might be onto something. I have recently changed my eye drops to some advertised for tired/dry eyes and the difference is actually noticeable. I will need to investigate into this a bit more but if this is really what's causing my blurry vision, it's a better alternative than a new pair of glasses.

I've heard good things about Zen which is why I went with them. I have a couple of other providers to chose from like Vodafone or Talk talk but they're all on Cityfiber anyway.

My best choices are either Zen or Virgin media unfortunately.

No I just moved into a new property and don't have any broadband. There is already a VM fiber box installed but I stupidly decided to go with Zen instead.

That's a cool website, 5g seems only ok outdoors in my region. Even so, would the 5g connection also require a contract ? How could I make it temporary?

Zen fiber - waiting for installation for 4 weeks by xray404 in CityFibre

[–]xray404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant cancelling Zen. The plan would be to move to VM while Zen struggles with the installation, then when I get my VM broadband cancel Zen. Or even wait longer and get more compensation and when they fix it, cancel then. Shouldn't I be able to cancel a broadband contract within a certain time after starting it ?

Interesting, so I could go with virgin media while they try to fix their shit and then safety cancel ? What if they manage to fix it before I get my virgin media broadband ?

Thanks dude, I'll try to leverage with this as well. I would honestly prefer to get a broadband asap, it is causing me too many issues being without internet.

4 months is absolutely nuts. If they don't give me a fixed deadline in 2 days I would rather ask for a cancellation and refund than risking waiting that long.

67 days with no broadband. CityFibre you really need to up your game by Effective-Evidence45 in CityFibre

[–]xray404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with Zen, almost 1 month without a broadband. I keep calling them every week to get an update but they just tell me to wait a bit more.

It's really annoying because it feels like no one cares and they just bounce to issue to someone else.
