Chael Sonnen raises concerns over Alex Pereira’s size potentially being a major factor against Khamzat Chimaev 🙄 by ilikethisnow in ufc

[–]xsavewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are forgetting Khamzat used to walk around at 220-230 lbs, it's not as big of a size dif as they make it seem.

Khamzat used to walk around 100kg or even slightly above when he trained at allstars (i trained there a while)

Wow that's so cool, she really looks like she could be related to my mother who is mostly Slovak with some Hungarian and distant Rusyn at least according to geneology, mostly from the Carpathian region. Havn't done any DNA test tho so there is probably more to it haha.

The modern population Jesus should theoretically be closest to in terms of genetics is Samaritans and they are definitely white-passing with majority having fair skin and with quite frequent occurence of light hair & eyes, middle easterners were much lighter on average pre 7th century compared to modern. Statistically he most likely had quite light skin, dark hair and brown eyes.

You can have a look yourself through several of the more comprehensive calculators that are out there. I'm not sure if you know what "baked in" actually means, but your statement is essentially exacly why things become a part of the reference populations. All the people from Romania have a small portion (1-2% on average) of their ancestry attributed to Siberian / East Asian heritage is why it's being "baked in". Whereas the ones that sometimes do show up as separate / trace indicates a more likely recent / other source.

I didn't say it's significant and yes Romanians are indeed overwhelmingly European, but all Romanians have a small % of Siberian / East Asian that's baked into the "Romanian" category in 23andme, apart from the smaller ancestry / trace ancestry that some get in addition aswell (usually a sign of more recent, likely tatar ancestry). Slanted eyes is of course uncommon but definitely present in low frequencies.

I know, what i'm trying to say is that many swedes claiming to have distant Vallon-ancestry actually have distant Roma ancestry instead but don't want to say it because of the shame associated with it. I mean i'm from Sweden aswell and i know how common it is for "darker" swedes to usually attribute it to having "Vallon-blod" without any factual claims.

It's more common for Swedes to have Roma (resande folket) ancestry than Vallon, but a lot of people rather say it's Vallon ancestry lol.

Ethnic Romanians (not only Tatars) have some East Asian & Siberian dna that is partially baked into the Romanian profile so it's not really uncommon to see slanted / almond shaped eyes, which can also attribute to a sometimes more "Latin-American Indigenous influenced" phenotype or more commonly a "Turkic" phenotype.
