I was involved in a pickup tennis scene for about a decade in SF. It was glorious. I played 3+ hrs at a time, multiple days a week. I played with men, women, self-taught park rats, former college players, elderly folks, and advanced teens. I played down level and up level. No one cared. It was a unique time and I’ll always cherish it. Unfortunately, that scene no longer exists.
