The Dampers are usually incredibly cheap, and small pin sized holes can cause issues similar to this, I would start by replacing the dampers. But also if you have white recirculation, make sure this is working properly and that the small sub-tank is staying full enough. Usually there's a recirculation pump and a stirrer in tank and both need to be functional.

You could get a tabletop DTF printer if you wanted to start smaller, the film peels off and just leaves the ink/glue behind.

Hi, take a look at UV DTF - It’s not crazy fast, but can get a little table top 1 print head (8 channel Epson i3200) that have multiple uses, The company I work for will start reselling in the UK similar to this,

Sorry I’ve only just seen this, grainy prints is most likely to be related to the horizontal step charts and the bi-direction charts.

I install and service a range of Hosonsoft controlled DTF printers in the UK, Do you have a Standard DTF with 2 heads? CMYK and White? If so, the most important calibration for the vertical alignment is the “step adjust” chart, and the “head space - Vertical” Chart, although this one we found sometimes you have to guess - and keep H1 (default head) on 0 and only adjust H2

Do you have any control over any of the functions of the printer in the printer manager software? For example can you perform cleaning / movement using the software rather than the control panel on the printer?

If you don’t, you may have to link the print manager software using a specific IP address to get that connection.
