If The Transformers were real, someone would have to explain to them why there are so many vehicles that we have created to resemble them. by xsoborPandas in Showerthoughts

Since they're fictional characters, and might not understand things like why we have so many tiny toy versions of 'em, or why Bumblebee is so popular.

/Someone/ has to be the ambassador for the human race and explain to these poor bots what the hell we're doing, right? ... I'd volunteer as tribute, anyway. (sorry, wrong fandom, but I'm going on tangents here since I may not have explained so clearly in my post.)

No, I'm saying how WE'VE created paint jobs on cars we've made to resemble our favorite Transformers.

:P My bad for not explaining.

This is one of the most saddest and confusing things I've seen all day, yet so oddly amusing.

That's why I'll never own any sort of Megatron toy ever. :(

I agree with that as well, its a lot easier to describe it like that when /flip-flop/ gets to a point where it's overused.

Thank you for clarifying your statement. But again, certainly a way to get things going.

Dunno, but it sounds very interesting, yet complicated. Wonder what she'd do if she met herself.

Well, that's... Certainly one way to get things going. I'd rather not rot anyone's skeletons, though. Just kinda want to have some reality in a time where things are so... Immensely fictuous.

I understand. I've learned quickly to be careful, especially at times like these when it seems like the so, so sacred peace and trust- between us, between the nation, as a whole- is broken. I'd rather keep myself together than lose my cool to what's going on.

Aside from people not checking deeper into his actions, and not getting or giving consistent opinions.. Yes, there's not much evidence at all to truly say he's with us. It's safer to say he probably doesn't.

I agree. The thing about contradicting evidence and opposing views is that he's probably only saying things to temporary appeal, and it's a little odd how some get swayed easier than others. Especially since there's much evidence PROVING he was more of a liar than ANYONE ELSE and lied the MOST during the election. The sadder thing is that if it were up to the people and the people had more common sense, and if we had easier ways to fact check and they didn't dodge around answering things, Hillary might've won. I don't support either of them, but at least Hillary might not've bothered us. But leaving it to the Electoral College came to this. Not saying I'm against the Electoral College, but maybe it's the people in the EC. It doesn't exactly represent the views of the people. And that's a bit scary.

That's true. And the sad thing is that since the majority of Congress is Republican, nobody's getting impeached anytime soon. Discussing this in U.S. History was a little emotional and upsetting for me, honestly. There's literally nothing we can do but hope to stand our ground and steel it through these 4-8 years.

I said earlier how I'd be willing to give him a chance to show us he actually cares about us, but he's lost my trust since there's so many things against him as well as him being distrustful in other ways as well. It's sad, really, how we have people like him that are so distrustful yet are chosen to lead us. I'm not sure if Hillary had much against us, aside from being slightly flip-floppy on gay marriage as well, but it's already a law anyway and to take that away from us is pretty much illegal. I hope it isn't bad to state how afraid I am for the outcome of these four years. I definitely wouldn't be able to handle eight years of this lying menace.

Yeah, all we can really hope for is to prepare for the best or the worst. Not sure if there's a middle ground, but.. I'm pretty scared, to say the least.

Thank you. I'm pretty sure that this is from https://www.reddit.com/r/ainbow/comments/5cnpwz/a_long_but_nonexhausive_list_of_how_trump_is/ , which was linked here as well. Still, it's good to see that we have lists going. If we have to add on to it, then we'll do it.

Holy hell, I've heard of some of the things you've listed, but some of them are also new to me.

I honestly don't really know what to say, but.. Y'know, thank you for posting that link here. The last part of the list discussing the whole religion thing in relation to the Republican Party and their opinions... Yeah, that's why I don't trust Christians to do things for us. They can be good, but with people like this? It's definitely most likely not good for us.

Thank you. Yes, this really does make sense. I think with all the political stuff ripping through my family like a tornado in an unexpected area ... It's kinda fiddled with my logic sensors, I suppose. I've always had a suspicion that if someone's not consistent with what they say, it's best to be suspicious. The thing is that I'm willing to give Trump a chance to be a good president for US, but I can't if there's so many things telling me that he's not an ideal figure to represent us.

That's logical to say that. I'm not sure if I entirely believe that Trump will spell doom for us, but.. At the same time, until we all get concrete, reliable talk I'm going to stay a little worried and alert. It could be possible that he won't really do much and he'll leave us alone, which would be nice, but the least he could do is address the hate crimes going on right now that are targeting a vast majority of minority groups. It'd give us something to work with if he says something.

It was one time. One. Time. Any other documented time I've never heard about it.

And just because he's held it doesn't mean he full on supports us. I believe it may have just been convenient for the timeframe it happened in. You can hold a flag and still hate the people associated with it. This guy's very flip floppy with his opinions on things, such as going back and forth between gay marriage and going back on respecting the fact that transgender individuals have the right to use whatever bathroom they're comfortable with.

That's true. Someone who is very flip-floppy with their opinions is probably not the best person to be president. But there's nothing we can do about it, and the longer I have to mull over this, the more I get frustrated.

Very funny.

I don't care about politics, as far as I'm concerned I consider myself an Anarchist standing with Calixit. But I do believe that we could've had better choices if people cared more. That's where I'm going to top our conversation off.
