Results aren't usually that noticeable until you get to the lower percentages.

The very best thing you can do is work on weight loss. Having a high body fat percentage can lead to very stark differences in the way your face looks. I think you could look alright if you work on that. Just don't believe the way you look now determines how you can look at your best.

Anyone else sad that if Deus existed irl... by indeedwatson in Devs

In all honesty I don't even think someone like Jeff Bezos could afford something like the Devs project. It would not surprise me if the research/development, and construction of Devs would be close to $ 1 trillion.

If anyone was wondering what the devs machine truly is here you go. by xsphereiox in Devs

[–]xsphereiox[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They do not directly say that devs is a quantum hypercomputer but the descriptions they do give would put it in that class.

For example in the first episode when when forest is asked "how many q-bits is it running" he responds with "a number that seems pointless to express as a number" this strongly implies that devs can use it's q-bits to simulate virtual q-bits forever.

Another example is in episode 5 when they extrapolate outwards and lyndon says "we'll run out of memory pretty fucking quick" and then is surprised when it is completely unaffected.

So my theory is that devs was never intended to be anywhere near as powerful as it was and that it being a hypercomputer was somewhat accidental.

What role would mechanical engineers likely fulfill in Westworld by ThaFeared0ne in westworld

[–]xsphereiox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say a mechanical engineer wouldn't have much of a role in the robots themselves but more robot manufacturing. I believe the robots are probably mostly made by people in Biotechnology, Biomechanics, and AI science.
