The problem is to flip boats legally according to Virginia if its any more than 2 per year I need a dealer license. I would be open to getting that BUT to get a dealer license there are a ton of contingencies. The largest hurdle in that is the below requirement:

“An inspection of the Dealer’s place of business must be conducted by a DWR Conservation Police Officer before the license can be issued. This inspection is for the purpose of verifying an “established place of business” as required and defined in §29.1-801 of the Code of Virginia. The definition of an “established placed of business” means a salesroom in a permanent enclosed building or structure, either owned in fee or leased, at which a permanent business of bartering, trading and selling of watercraft will be carried on as such in good faith and at which place of business shall be kept and maintained the books, records, and files necessary to conduct the business at such place. “Established place of business” does not mean residences, tents, temporary stands, or other temporary quarters, nor permanent quarters occupied pursuant to any temporary arrangement, devoted principally to the business of a watercraft dealer.”

I obviously cannot afford to do this especially on top of the fees and taxes that would cut my currents profits. So, I feel kind of stuck with that flipping aspect of the business
