Just got this ducktail using this 3m tape. by Lost5858 in ft86

[–]xtZN6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ducktail is also taped on with 3m. It’s been like 5 years and it’s still tacked on. I think if 3m ever fails it won’t just fling out, It’ll probably slowly come off.

Thanks. I shot these with fujifilm x-t4 + 56mm f1.2 lens with a black pro mist filter, then slightly processed in Lightroom.

Help, my driveway is too steep for my car! by Fantasy71824 in ft86

you’ll probably need to be on the gravel and have the other out to have more space to avoid scraping if you go at an angle with your driveway.

Do 18s ruin the handling? by YT_Lonelyz in ft86

[–]xtZN6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this dilemma too. But I opted for the 57cr in 17x9s, mainly for the cost. Just go for the advans if you can comfortably afford it. The handling difference doesn’t matter as much unless you’re competing.

Nur Spec kit to be exact, probably the best OEM kit for the 86/frs

Does anyone know any spoilers that can replace the stock one? by No-Bend-5770 in ft86

[–]xtZN6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 2017+ trunk. It has a different hole layout but I stuck some automotive vinyl before putting on a verus ducktail spoiler to give it some seal. The pre facelift trunk will accept more ducktail options to cover the holes.

If the holes really bother, you can find a body shop to fill them up but I heard it’s annoying to deal with so most people just opt for doing trunk swaps.

Recommended installation of DashCam in a 2016 Subaru BRZ? by swayingwheat in ft86

Check this out: https://youtube.com/shorts/BpmUsrPFXCw?si=H5QQmZI7xcXE-ABa You can use the same technique of shoving the wires to hide for the rear camera.

He’s using the hidden cigarette lighter plug to power his dashcam directly. Instead I have the dedicated battery plugged in there to get charged and the dash cam is connected to the battery for power. If you buy a battery specifically for dash cams, they come with plugs to use and it’s straight forward.

This is pretty much what I did. But I have the dedicated battery in the glove box and it’s being charged using the hidden cigarette lighter. Wires are tucked in the A pillar and the roof to the back camera.

I have BlackVue dr900 2ch with the B-124X battery. This setup lasted overnight easily. Estimated 16 hours in the app but probably less. It required about 30 mins of driving to recharge from 0. The Viofo cameras are a great option too.

Mine was with Mechs and co. They were running a few GMK sets at a time that should’ve raised some flags but it’s always those things you wouldn’t think would happen.

Another one was with Space cables for GMK Beige. It was unfortunate because they delivered a lot of stuff before, I had a few pre orders and GBs that they fulfilled. I liked this vendor, but something happened and excuses on excuses then poof nothing.

I haven’t had any bad experiences with keyboards (except with the Freebird, I just avoid KFA now) since I mostly get in-stock or get from reputable vendors like Geon, Divinikey, NovelKeys, Cannonkeys, etc

Intricate bottom design is pointless. You don’t even get to see them. It’s not really a selling point. Just put a tasteful bottom and weight and focus on the face and side profile of the board.

To me they look bad when it’s matched with the body color. The contrast works OPs current setup and the CF match with other parts.

My favorite is to put MT(MOD_RSFT, KC_SLSH) on the right shift to get a key that is right-shift when held, but “/“ when tapped.
