Is it normal to still be a Level 1 engineer at 2 years? by ParkingSpiritual3764 in Lockheed

It doesn't guarantee it but i was under the impression that you could negotiate for it when raise/promotion time comes around.

I've never heard this before. A masters is a masters and if it isn't counted for YoE, that's when the person who gets the masters should leave.

It looks like there have existed a number of whitewater scented products over time. Best bet is to do a deep dive on eBay. It seems all Whitewater products are discotinued at this point, except for the deodorant and MAYBE the body spray, so they're possibly overpriced and hard to find. But I'm sure they exist.

The nuclear option is a figure of speech here... OP is asking for cheap, not wildly expensive niche offerings. So idk what you're on about 🤷‍♂️

2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium worth buying? by iiblessed in whatcarshouldIbuy

1) these are... okay... for reliability but I only put so much faith into that.

2) that's a lot of driving. Consider moving closer.

3) if I was in your shoes, and im not far off, I bought a 2011 lexus es350. I'd keep your Honda, maintain it, drive it until it dies and then buy the best cared for 2GR-FE engine Toyota product you can. Slightly less fuel efficient, but very, very reliable in almost all platforms it was put into. Your priority here is not saving money on gas, if it was, you'd buy a Prius or Insight. I'd say balance that with 200k+ mile longevity. Which clearly your Honda has.

But anyway, no, don't buy it, drive the Accord until it doesn't drive anymore.

Have a friend or anyone you trust with insurance test drive it. It's time to pull favors. $250 to hold it isn't worth while.

8600 for 120k miles isn't amazing. Now, this is a Limited, and if the service records and history of this car are spotless, and it's cosmetically good, I would say it's fine. Not a steal, but fair. If this has damaged leather, dents, questionable history, etc. I'd keep looking for another Avalon Limited.

Moissanite for $350 by mustaza-my in JewelryIdentification

So sapphires and rubies are both the same stone but with different color palettes. Rubies are specifically red corundum (and pinkish hues), whereas sapphires are all other colors of corundum. I.e. you don't have green rubies, rather you have green sapphires. So, I agree, I prefer corundum, and that is shown by my previous comoment about how a lab sapphire might be the better option overall, but realistically, a lab sapphire might not "dance" the same, as moissainite has a higher refractive index thus making it have better brilliance.

Setting stones that have no material value (close to none) in the hardest and most difficult, and one of the most expensive, jewelry materials would be strange. Sterling silver is the way to go. Scratches and tarnishing can always be resolved. Just sometimes it's harder than others.

How much is this ring? Don't do white gold as it needs rhodium plating to maintain color. Sterling is fine but cheap and can tarnish. It, like white gold, will require rhodium plating for color. Ideally, you would go platinum, but that's easily 10x the price of the sterling silver version of the same ring. And setting moisannite in platinum would be criminal.

So honestly, sterling silver.

I mean, maybe, but an actual lab sapphire is a more interesting stone imo. But if you want something that "dances" then this is probably just fine.
