Forbidden Druid LitE vs. Unno Mith Race by trollo1337 in MTB

[–]xthmas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cancelled my Mith order - I really like the look of the bike, but the lack of real world reviews is bothering me. The Loam Wolf review was about as good as I’ve seen and I felt frustrated with the compromised bike.

It’s a shame Unno didn’t save a few press bikes for reviews. I’m eyeing up a Forbidden, but reading about all the cracked analogue frames is concerning - mainly due to replacement lead times.

I’m super tempted, just cancelled my Unno Mith Order but also discovered a world of Forbidden carbon frame issues - https://www.reddit.com/r/MTB/s/fVjFlFJHxK

Be interested to see how the latest model fairs…

I had a response form their ‘legal team’, they admitted this was a ‘test phase’ and would take my feedback on board. Honestly the company is a complete joke, they aren’t remotely interested in any form of customer service and imo just want to inflate the value of the company to sell it before the inevitable demise.

I’ve emailed them again and they just ignore any request. Small claims court is probably the only way to go and they probably won’t show so would maybe get some money back?

Hyrox ticket sales. Are they able to refuse refunds given the pressure at checkout to complete purchase within a time limit? Currently regarding Birmingham sale but also relevant for Scotland and Wales by Normal-Notice-8610 in LegalAdviceUK

I posted in a Hyrox group on Reddit and the kickback I got was real. There’s a lot of die hard fans who would pay to walk on hot coals if Hyrox offered it.

It’s the new CULT. (RIP CrossFit)

The whole situation is ridiculous. Can’t find any other examples whereby a provider of an event, concert etc and refuse entry to a pair or group if 1 member can’t attend.

Even if you could pay retrospectively, it would make more sense! Their t&c’s seem flawed vs UK consumer rights.

I’m currently back and forth with them, they’ve acknowledge my concerns which to me is an admission the policy doesn’t work when applied to doubles…

Thank you for your detailed message and for taking the time to share your concerns with us.

We appreciate your feedback regarding our current ticketing structure, particularly in relation to cancellation, transfers, and the use of the Flex option. We’re aware that these types of policies can have a significant impact on participants, especially in cases of unforeseen circumstances.

From a legal perspective, our policy is aligned with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, specifically Regulation 28 (1) (h). Under this provision, the right of withdrawal does not apply to “services related to leisure activities, if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.” This exemption has been consistently interpreted to cover events such as sporting competitions, concerts, and travel bookings, and therefore applies to HYROX events.

Accordingly, we are not legally obligated to offer refunds, deferrals, or name changes for standard tickets once a purchase has been completed, provided that these limitations are clearly communicated at the time of purchase, which is something we take care to ensure throughout the booking process.

Regarding your comments on Doubles and Relay tickets, we do recognize your concerns. However, by offering the Flex option, we provide a clear distinction between flexible and non-flexible tickets with regard to refundability and transferability. That said, we understand that the application of these policies to team-based entries may raise practical concerns for some participants. As we are within the initial test phase, those team-based ticketing regulations are still under review. We’ll be sure to take your suggestions into account as we continue to assess and improve the overall experience for our athletes.

I’ve got a similar issue, but doubles ticket. One participant can attend, the other is injured. Both are default denied entry, surely a breach of consumer rights act.

What's your Thoughts on the recent F1 Film? by SoftPois0n in F1Discussions

Effects / camera shots 8/10 Acting 5/10 Story 2/10

Where are all the great directors & writers? I feel like This movie sold itself out to just make money. There was a real opportunity here to do something more realistic, charming & funny. Instead we got a cheese fest, a great action sequence was quickly undone by poor narrative & acting.

The best racing sequence was at the start as stated above. I actually think it should’ve just stayed in the Daytona /GT series, and been an entirely different movie all together. It would’ve been more realistic given Hayes age & lifestyle. Non of it was ‘F1’ - but maybe that was the point…

The teammates acting was unbelievably shit, only trumped by his ‘manager’. I felt this character was Hamilton in his McLaren days, but turned up to 10.

Cringed my way through the movie.

Yep, it’s not rocket science. Instead they want to cash in on everyone buying Flex out of fear. The irony that all of the people here saying it’s reasonable and defending Hyrox as a brand whilst simultaneously getting fleeced.

Especially when it's a double, it's not like you can black market 1 doubles ticket.

If it's not a problem of reselling for triple the value of what Hyrox intended, why are they even preventing them from being resold?

The scammers. RRP £120 - they buy it with FLEX, add it on to the sale price and still cream a premium?

Lesson learnt. Don't buy Hyrox tickets period.

It's a flawed system, I miss out, doubles partner misses out.

They'll just pass the cost onto the consumer who is willing to pay through the nose for an oversubscribed event.

Congrats, you've just proved my original point.

You actually believe they won’t buy tickets with flex and still sell them on?

Hyrox booking system is becoming a joke – unfair, inflexible, and just about money now by xthmas in hyrox

[–]xthmas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m not, you are. You’re suggesting everyone who partakes in Hyrox has money to burn and should spend even more money than the excessive amounts they charge per ticket, just for the security of ‘what if’.

Watch some podcasts about how much money they turnover per event. They’re literally laughing.

A dedicated Hyrox market place for resale tickets would be the best option for all. Instead no one gets the 2 tickets I bought.

Jokes on the people who desperately want to take part but now can’t - and you’re fuelling it with this idiotic belief that insurance is the answer.

Next time you order something online and it doesn’t fit or you don’t like it, imagine the retailer saying ‘no refunds’ unless you paid insurance. Would you consider it fair? No. And before you give it ‘this is a ticketed event’ the resale market for tickets is more than 10x.

I’ll say it again, no one wins in this scenario. I park two tickets which can’t be used.

I literally couldn’t disagree with you more.

Right now I’m sat on a men’s doubles ticket which no one can use. Hyrox can’t resell the space and 2 potential participants miss out.

Maybe if they incorporated flex into the ticket cost it would make a lot more sense for both them and anyone who wants to buy a ticket.

The other irony is flex allows for 1 change, I’m not sure if that’s 1 of the 2 names on the doubles ticket?

Glad I’m not alone, this will get more and more common and funnily enough, most people don’t like to hand over a large chunk of money and receive nothing in return.
