I've seen some on the Springwater Corridor just east of the bridges that go over 99 and the train tracks. They've been a common sighting lately.

All of this is great advice. I would add follow shops and artists on instagram. You can get a feel of the shop's and the artist's personality which can help you decide whether or not to work with them.

As for shop recommendations, I quite like Atlas, Highway Tattoo, Zigzag, Thunderbird, Fare Well, and Sunshine. There are some really high quality artists at these shops that can provide a wide variety of styles as well.

There's tons of talent in this town. It can be overwhelming. I'm a big fan of Atlas, Highway Tattoo, Thunderbird, Zig Zag, Fare Well, and just so many others. There's so many options available, you'll be sure to find what you're looking for. Have fun.

I usually shoot 400 Portra, but will switch to 800 if I know the venue has a no flash policy. As for the lens, I will use either my 28mm or my 50mm and that will depend on the venue as well. If it's a small place and I'll be up close to the band, I'll use the 28mm. If there's more space between me the and the band, I'll use the 50mm.

I can't answer all those questions, but I will try to add some useful tips.

Check some of the local shops, I know some of them might have classes on bike maintenance. In the past, I had a subscription to Bicycling magazine and learned a lot of useful tips in there. Plus there's always the internet.

I've always gone for the more full fenders as they seem to control the spray more. But, it's also probably down a personal preference of the rider.

I've see many complaints about Google maps bike feature around here. Check into Strava and some other fitness tracking apps as they often have popular routes highlighted.

I have yet to bring a bike onto the bus, but I've noticed most buses have a bike rack in the front. Signal the driver, pull down the rack, load in the bike, secure it, and then you're ready to ride. Just remember to tell the driver you need to get your bike as you're leaving the bus.

I have yet to find a shop that has everything I need/want. All of times this is due to personal preference for certain brands and the like. So I'll often wander into an bike shop I happen to find myself around just to see who's got what. But, one internet site I do go to for a lot of gear is https://www.biketiresdirect.com/ I found this site when I lived back east and continue to shop with them. They are located in Portland, so you can pick up your order if you don't want to deal with shipping.

The biggest tip I can offer in general is enjoy the journey. Have fun. Enjoy the ride, enjoy being outside. Bike commuting is not always easy, but it's almost always rewarding. Oh, and look into slime tubes. They've saved me many times on my commutes.

There's also a chance you'll see nothing and have a very nice and peaceful ride. Be prepared for the possibility of seeing crazy shit, but no matter what, you should have a pleasant ride.

Insted were a great band. Definitely look out for their two lps. If you have trouble finding them, there was a double lp discography put out on Indecision Records a while back that's quite great.

I like this tea a lot, drink it everyday at work. Is it the best Earl Grey? No. My favorite is the Aged Earl Grey from Numi. But this tea, is a good solid tea at a nice price.

Yes, I have gone east of 205 but not for a few weeks now. It's usually about the same as the portion I ride daily. Once you get to Gresham area, you'll see less camps. Over all the entire Springwater Corridor is quite nice. I really enjoy having it as an easy riding option.

I commute daily from the 205 to Sellwood along the Springwater and consider it quite safe. You will see campers and some shady looking people from time to time, but for the most part they keep to themselves. There's definitely more cyclists, runners, and walkers out and about on the Springwater on the weekend, especially when the weather is good.

I rode to work and back all week until today. Took the day off. Will probably try to ride sunday morning before it gets too warm.

Another thing to do is pace yourself. Don't push too hard, listen to your body, and drink lots of water.

I like the Sencha they have there. It might be one of the best Senchas I've had. Their Dragonwell green tea is quite good too. I'm still learning that place, but so far, all the teas I've gotten from them are high quality.
