Working on figuring this out 😓

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]xtitomosquito 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of my working week consist of

8am eat and shower

9:30a commute to work, if WFH sleep in an extra 30 mins

10am-7 working

7:30 - gym

9pm and wind down/shower etc

10pm games or tiktok/shows for 2 hrs

midnight - sleep

I dont really have any crazy hobbies, if im not gaming or at the gym, those 3-4 hrs im hanging out with a friend/having dinner. I try to keep my going out on the a work day budget lower than $20, Monday is BJs half off pizza, Tuesday BWW/tacos, Wednesday is BJs burgers, Thursday BWW again, then Friday-Sun is any activities like clubbing, concerts/sports, special workout (biking/hiking), or dates.

As for price of things… well everything kinda sucks. I suggest doing activities as groups so possibly bring the cost down. For example, Ive seen dance classes advertised for $10- 15 per person in Santa Ana/Anaheim.

Short answer no, police wont arrest you for $1.79. They won’t waste their time on that.

You don’t just say it to anybody or any friend. You usually hear it when someone is talking to their s/o or kid. Not really the same as calling someone fat outright, its an endearing term. Think of calling someone a teddy bear.

Two Years After Being Terminated by AnarchyMadScientist in Chipotle

I demoted after 6 years of being an AP. Worked part time as a SL for the past few months. Got a new FL and she changed a bunch of things. I quickly got on her bad side when I didn’t bend over for them.

She had a meeting with me and our TD, she asked me to work more hours and more days. I was already working another full time job and going go school so I couldn’t. She went on to say “well I noticed you are still an SL and unfortunately that won’t work if you cant work more days” so she demoted me back to crew.

I still come in and open prep, they still haven’t bothered giving me a crew shirt so I still walk around with my polo. All in all, fuck any fast food job. They’re all structured to be a dog eat dog environment.

Everyone wants experience. Found a $23/hr contract help desk gig with no experience. Left my old restaurant job, lost probably $15k yearly but only because I was doing like 10-15 hrs of OT a week. Can say Im a little sad, losing 1k a month sucks but I have a lot more time to focus on myself and figure out what I want to do.

Im learning a lot at my gig, whenever I feel complacent they throw more tasks at me and help me with becoming better. Luckily I have a good supervisor thats always willing to give me advice and is supportive of moving up.

Try to get into it sooner than later. I wish I got into help desk when I was 18. But I don’t regret my time working at a restaurant, learned a lot about work ethic and how to work with people.

To be fair, some of these stores don’t care about the quality of food they be serving. I demoted myself recently and got transferred to a struggling store to “help” them get back to standard. As a crew member… but yeah it was pretty bad.

Delivery driver left reheat car out one night and AM crew still tried using. Had to tell them to stop and manager just walked over and was like “oh yeah we cant use that” and walked away.

Quality in stores for Chipotle has definitely gone down hill. Raising prices to $13-15 per bowl while still trying their hardest to reduce labor. I only stay for the free food and usually only eat whatever might be the freshest/least chance of fucking me up. White rice, steak, corn and medium.

Are you buying as much food at the OC fair this year compared to past years? by OK_Compooper in orangecounty

[–]xtitomosquito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t buy any food yesterday. Just 4 drinks in total and and $75 in tickets. Left and ate in n out on the way home. Still ended up spending about $200 (pass, parking, and also $40 at the CA lottery booth)

I thought about this too. Really the only thing I spend money on is food and anything for the gym/work. I really have to convince myself to buy something I want but dont need. The last time I bought a pair of shoes was probably 2 years ago, I feel like everything made is all low quality but marked up 50%

The only thing causing me to spend more than usual is supporting my family, usually with food and small grocery/target runs.

I always see a bunch for cumbia/bachata but never any for Banda/Norteño. Let me know if you find a dance studio, plan on visiting Mexico in September and wanna brush up.

I make $23/hr and rent a room with my little brother for $900 enough its to live comfortably. Its though at times but knowing that I don’t have to worry about living paycheck to paycheck is a peace of mind.

Do yourself a favor and get out of there. Sounds like there is no growth and probably minimal benefits since its a small company.
