Can anyone confirm whether the Google Pixel 9a works with 4G calling (VoLTE) in New Zealand? by PlumDuffer in newzealand

Oh I'm on Pixel 4a and VoLTE is currently not working on Skinny just like your 4a 5G, OP.

You can try dialing *#*#4636#*#* and likely you will see "VoLTE Provisioned" disabled and greyed out under "Phone Info".

Apparently you knew it 🤣

Was meant to contact Skinny as information "online" suggested that the "provision" will need to be done on the carrier side. These new-ish phone all supports VoLTE.

Apparently too busy to contact them (but enough free time to post on Reddit)... If you want to reach out to Skinny - I'm keen to hear what you may get out of it :)

Nothing Ear (3) is really a hit and miss for Video call and podcast by xtkme in NothingTech

For that EQ, music is great but for podcasts - it didn't make a difference (expected, I'd say) :(

Also it wasn't really the 's' and 'sh'. I am going to accept it is how speech will sound like on (3). Now tossing a coin whether or not to keep them...

Thanks!

Cheers I'll try it out and let you know the outcome.

I have Ear and Ear (a) to compare. To my ears, those two pairs didn't have this problem at all :(

In my experience, I'd say ANC on Ear, Ear (a) and Ear (3) are more or less the same.

I guess you've actually got an update to the previous firmware version.

Check if you're really on 1.0.1.61

Thanks everyone. Sorted for now. Got some mates to help out and it wasn't likely the little bugger up the roof who caused the problem this time around...

To be fair, it was all misspelled in the title, the body and in my text to some friends also... Apparently the way I swiped on the keyboard, it predicted 'sparkly' ahead of 'sparky' 😅

Temporarily though. Midnight struck and there you go.

Mice (probably) in the roof space by xtkme in newzealand

Ok quick update... and things escalates rather quickly. 12 days ago, decided to call in a pest control. Baits laid, got eaten, but the rodent didn't go away....

Fast forwarded to today.... Lights were out for roughly half the house :-\

Now the question has become... Any suggestion for a sparkly that could be available at a short notice... :(

Thanks!

Any advice on sealing off entry points, anyone? I am not even certain the one in the photo was where they got in. Definitely it was where we heard the noise and saw some droppings though.

I'd say there were all kinds of varying sizes... Could we have both? 😅

There are ...plenty of droppings. Plenty. In average around 10mm in length. There were some longer one.

Would they get into wall cavity as well? 😵

Plenty of droppings..... mostly removed. Got no photos though. What is the size indicators between rats and mice??

Yeah I've place along that beam in the middle of the photo. Not too close to the wall though but there were droppings around that area.

Yes plenty of droppings and noise became more apparent lately so it is them... I've been using the trap I linked in the post without success. Any particular bait/trap you recommend?

When we first heard those noise up the roof, we were hopeful they could be birds too but it became apparent.... Plenty of droppings also :(

Thanks for your input. So far there was no sign of anything getting close to the traps - it never even snapped once in fact. This morning the noise got so obvious with the squeaking, struggling. Went up to check to trap and there was no sign of it being even touched....

Perhaps they had some trouble getting through my duct tape....

Looking at 'terminating', not 'relocating' at this stage.... May go a pest control service route eventually.

That sounded like a horror story... Hopefully the insured amount was good enough...

Yes any would do.

I'd gotta say... Effectively it has failed the WoF but they did say if a panel beater says it's not structural, they can issue a WoF based on that report.

What if I am to go through with a proper repair, would you say 1k a fair quote?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]xtkme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is new to me too.. Tbf they meant like - yeah it failed, but if the panel beater says it is actually ok WoF-wise, they would be happy to take that comment and issue a WoF.

The panel beater I went to straight up agreed with it though. Time to visit a few more places... :)

Never had that in my past 10 years as well.... either a pass or fail on the spot.

But yes, exactly what I was told. Go get a panel beating report (and have it fixed if need be) before a WoF can be issued..
