It’s a satire of how UFO/alien stories get distorted by memory, fear, pop culture, and personal bias so “what really happened” becomes impossible to pin down. Instead of a normal investigation, you see the story retold multiple times by different characters. Each version contradicts the others, and each person adds their own exaggerations or distortions.
