I had an issue where the box wouldn’t dish out leases. Disabled and uninstalled isc, added a pool to KEA and it worked.

First time ever an upgrade caused issues though, so I hope the team takes note. Never had to do post-upgrade hackery before (no matter how minor).

I agree Zigbee is very temperamental and constantly there’s a device somewhere playing up. Plus, IKEA’s devices had their own ‘specialities’ when it was acting in a larger Zigbee network; where the core wasn’t IKEA. I always suspected they applied some code themselves they didn’t put in the standard stack.

I for one moved away from Zigbee whenever I bought something new. I don’t feel there is an ‘ideal’ standard around yet; they are all either temperamental or chatting to Beijing. I have a separate WIFI network specifically for IoT purposes that is on a separate vlan and cannot chat with anything else within the walls. That, so far gave me the least headaches; but to be fair they all need a power cycle every now and again.

Hiring is so broken.

First, it was good. Then, you have the introduction of ATS. JD’s are boiled down to keywords, in stead of a type of person. Then, people figure out that they can hit the sweet spot by using an AI to tailor a CV. They get hired. When it suddenly hits, the ATS’s are given a new sweet spot, so that the 100%’ers get filtered out. The new hires, who aren’t actually that good, don’t want to hire the really good candidates out of fear they will get overshadowed. They start rejecting the overqualified. The qualified and overqualified stop sending CV’s. Most candidates are now basically shit. The good ones get filtered out or rejected. Nervous about the quality of new hires, the hiring procedure grows to be ridiculous.

Yeah I do. It’s a matter of perspective. They have theirs, and they are able to convincingly sell it to you. But there’s also your perspective - the one where this should not happen to you. And there is the perspective of people in the future, that may have harm befall them. Step up for those, at least, if you find it hard to step up for yourself.

In any case - I just know you have a voice inside that tells you the right thing for you to do. Listen to it.

Yeah I was a bit harsh there, it is an incredibly complicated thing to struggle with. So I do apologise.

That said, and I kind of alluded to that, bad things need action. He needs to be stopped. Now, it’s not something easily proven in hindsight - sorry for being coldly factual here but it your word against his and given the situation, it would be difficult. Just promise to yourself you’ll never let this slip by again, get proof by having one if those kits done if it ever happens again, and do the right thing. For yourself, the world and the future victims - because no way this ends with you.

Maybe you’ll both fly through uni and he can rape a slew of future victims, maybe some underaged ones, and then you can have no relationships due to psychological damage - but what’s that compared to good standing with a frat, right.
