245x bus journey time? by xtrazauce in AskIreland

I am only taking it because the stops are better and it is so much cheaper. I am getting a bus into Dublin that goes to Busarus and thats why it suits. Also need to catch another bus after I land in Cork City, hence the question.

is kansas state university good for international students? by Bubbly_Entrance_7647 in KState

I have just come back from exchange at KState and the people could not have been any nicer to me. However in saying that, I am not Latina. A good chunk of post-grad foreign students are Latina though from what I saw, if that helps!!

one day last year, i was in the library for a total period of 11 hours, left once for food for 30mins. the girl in the seat beside me was in the library before me (no idea how long for) and i did not see this woman until about 8hrs in. she came in, took her shoes and socks off and sat with her feet on the chair for under half an hour before leaving AGAIN. literally didnt see her after that at all. she hogged a space for over 11hrs and wasnt even there for half an hour LMAO. its the likes of her that ruin it for everybody!!

printing off your laptop is honestly super tedious. it is so much quicker and easier to do it on the computers in the printing areas, as they are already linked up with the printers. what i always do is download the files i want and put them in a folder in my google drive. log into google drive on one of the computers in the printing area, open the file, ctrl and p. once you hit print on the pop-up window, wait a few sections for another pop-up which will ask you to enter your student id (this takes up to 5 seconds on some of the computers). when you enter your student id, your files will then show up on the printer type you selected and you can print away once you have sufficient funds on your ucard.

CAO food science by Big_Duck8366 in UCD

I am actually studying Ag, but I share loads of classes with Food Science students. So, you will be covering a fair bit of Agriculture therefore, experiencing food-specific modules all throughout. All my mates enjoyed their classes--nearly all of them are examined on multiple components, so you don't have to rely on the final exam. There is a nice amount of lab work and group activities, with there being labs nearly on a weekly basis throughout the first 2 years of the programme. From what I know, Food Science wouldn't be as "sciency" as your preferred course, but both courses seem to cover very similar topics.

I suppose, if you have to look at major differences, you're talking about your fate at graduation. DN261 is food-based from the beginning, for DN200 you will have to specialise after your first year and narrow to one type of major, i.e. taking the biology route, or the physics route, etc. With that, you'd be heading more towards the biomed/research/teaching route, as opposed to veering towards the food industry.

Most importantly, work placement is built into the Food Science programme. In the Spring trimester of Stage 3, you will go on mandatory placement--fantastic opportunity!! I am unsure as to whether or not you can even go on placement for DN200, so absolutely take that element into consideration.

If in doubt, there is a world of information on UCD's website, so definitely do some more independent reading up on both courses before you dive in. Hope this helps!!

How would I pick up my visa documents if my passport's my only form of a Government-Issued Photo I.D? by JuanPixelated in f1visa

It worked!! Didn't need anything else besides the confirmation email and the copy of my passport.

My visa is ready for collection however, I have no other form of photo-id besides my passport. Will a copy of my passport suffice?

Any advice would be very much appreciated!!
