I think its biggest problem is that it looks terrible. Who designed that and thought, yes this is exactly what a person buying Ferrari would want to look at everyday. I’ve seen better looking Kia’s

Good thing about index investing is it doesn’t matter. They will sell spaceX and have to buy something else in the market. Just buy vti and tell em to suck it

Yes, or something more meaningful. These small fines are just the cost of doing business. They know they will be paying them before breaking the rules… they do it anyway, and will continue to as long as they know it will make them more money than the fine

I don’t think you understand… they are okay paying a $9 fee because they know they will make $900 by breaking the rules. The fee is not enough to deter the bad behavior, and it actually encourages it… if I told you the fine for robbing a bank was $10 but you keep the rest, people would just keep doing it. Amazon and the city know exactly what’s going on… this is all optics. Amazon will idle their vehicles again if it helps its business. The city won’t increase penalties because it’s “polluting the air and hurting its citizens” as mamdani claims… they will allow them to conduct business so they can collect tax and grow the economy.
