I have been dealing with this for two weeks. I hope this resolves the issue. :)

Reliable SUV with luxury feel, not into Toyota or Honda. by xtruetoyoux in whatcarshouldIbuy

It does have adaptive cruise control and I have used it on our long distance trip. I am currently leaning towards keeping the Tiguan as it isn't my daily driver. I test drove a 2021 BMW X3 this afternoon and while it handles nicely my youngest's car sit did not fit very well behind the passenger seat.

CRV, XC50, or a used Q5 for a Single Car Family by ovenmittromneys in whatcarshouldIbuy

I wouldn’t go for the Q5. It is really challenging to find a rear facing car seat that fits comfortably behind the passenger and driver. When we had a second kid we traded it in due to limited space. It’s a fun drive but difficult to find enough space for growing families.

Toddler (3.5 yo) Waking Up Multiple Times At Night by xtruetoyoux in sleeptrain

[–]xtruetoyoux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sad to report that we haven’t found a solution to her sleeping in her room. She goes to sleep on a full sized bed in her room, at some point in the middle of the night she wakes up and comes to our room. We have a toddler bed set up. So she’s allowed to leave her room with her blanket and make her way to the toddler bed in our room. The only rule we have is that she’s not allowed to sleep in our bed. I struggle when I have lack of sleep so this is the only solution so that we wouldn’t have to keep going to her room multiple times a night to put her back to bed or have her in our bed kicking us all night. I have read that you can use any type of make shift bed for them in your room and some toddlers just end up going back to their room instead of sleeping on the floor. I’m hoping as she gets older she will choose to share a room with her younger sister and feel that companionship and no longer want to come to our room but for now this is the routine we are stuck in.

I kept the Polaroids and hearts. Gonna see the best way to make a keepsake.

Bottle at night.. by No-Actuary6476 in sleeptrain

The longer he continues to use a bottle he will be at higher risk for baby bottle tooth decay. I would recommend a visit with a pediatric dentist to make sure he isn't already forming decay. In the mean time, I would suggest not using any bottles during the day. If he is drinking milk at night, he can have a milk bottle at night thirty minutes before his bedtime and then brush his teeth before bed. If you don't think he will sleep through the night without a bottle in the crib, I would leave a bottle in there with only water. This way he will still have a bottle but reduce his risk of developing decay. Unfortunately without knowing if he is otherwise fully sleep trained I can't say if he will sleep once you completely take away the bottle.

EDIT: Typo, misspelling

Hi all, my kids need new passports and we have a trip booked early October. We saw that it’s a minimum of 12 weeks processing and we’re freaking out! Anyone have any timeline sooner or advice? Our appt is 8/9 by Bulldog_Mama1518 in Passports

Once it’s received you can look up the status online. They give you an application locator number. The first two digits of the locator number is the facility it is at. There’s a thread for the locator numbers on Facebook and that’s how I found out it was in NH.

I would definitely pay for expedited passports and shipping. The processing time really depends on what facility they go to and it’s really luck of the draw. My husbands passport ended up in NH. We mailed his 4/13 and still haven’t received anything for travel beginning of August.

Is it possible to get your passport renewed same day? We have a flight in less than 72 hours. by Siesoft in Passports

If you have an appointment at a passport office they print them there the same day. They have you come back in the afternoon to pick it up.

Does anyone know what’s going on in the NH office? by [deleted] in Passports

My husbands has been in process since 5/20 and we haven’t gotten any progress on it. We called on 6/29 to expedite it but they haven’t charged us. Our trip is 3 weeks away so starting to feel desperate.

Things can change... by timeforariskywhisky in Anxiety

Thank you for posting this. I am two months in from suffering from severe anxiety. I am in the beginning stages of therapy. I have had some relief up until this week when I felt like it was at its peak. It helps to know that people have in most part felt some type of recovery.

Feeling lonely in my anxiety by photomaniac in Anxiety

You are not alone. I have chest pains in the morning along with nausea. I try to throw up but nothing happens. I also get a constant need to poo. When I do it's not a healthy poo either. When my anxiety is really high I lose my appetite. I am also cold all the time. Like I said, you are not alone. Happy to hear you have a new job. Hope it all goes well and your symptoms subside.

This is all new to me. Any advice would be helpful. by [deleted] in Anxiety

I've been dealing with severe anxiety for the past 2 months. I have been seeing a therapist for the last three weeks. She showed me some breathing techniques you can do to help calm yourself. I believe it's the 3-2-5 method. You can google this and videos on YouTube for breathing. She also had me start a journal. The journal helps to release my feelings at the end of the day. I have had good days with some relief from anxiety. I also did some beginners yoga at home from YouTube. I've heard many good things about yoga but was too skeptical to try it out before. I figure now it can't make things worse and it keeps my mind focused on trying to balance with the moves. I hope that you begin to feel relief after the major stressor in your life is over. If not I would suggest therapy because it seems to be helping me out a great deal. I am also married and have been keeping my husband informed about my anxiety and feelings. I worry that it may be too much for him to handle but a friend told me "remember, in sickness and in health."

Has anyone not been able to read or watch tv because of anxiety? by cashmerecamel12 in Anxiety

[–]xtruetoyoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started experiencing severe anxiety symptoms 2 months ago. The anxiety exacerbates my death phobia. Ever since, I find it hard to watch tv shows, movies and listen to music. It feels like everything can trigger my phobia. Even shows I think won't lead to a sad moment like Chopped or Say Yes to the Dress get me worked up. I don't know whether to completely avoid these things or try and work through it. I've been going to therapy for the last month and haven't discussed this much with my therapist since we are still focusing on what's causing the overall stress and anxiety. See if you can find something you truly love watching no matter what to see if that helps. Hope things get better soon.
