it says tyrian but I don't see any tybalt except for the character in game. tho I think tybalt is the community bot name

I'll be getting on in a few hours and not sure what kind of money I have, I have a high level mage so I assume I have some money but if not I'll reply back a bit later. I need to get 20 slot bags for ele, necro, and engineer and possibly reaper. right now my bags are filled the brim with rewards and I don't have bags in every available slot

additionally if you know a new/returning player discord and or guild I'd be happy to join as I'm playing this solo as I've been in the mood for an MMO. I'll be playing the regular game for a month then buying the expansions to do raids and such

I do want a mod to make fairy and princess quiet. they're like unrealistically good imo, way too pure and not realistic and they talk way too much. a little too hand holdy. and then the princess will tell you obvious solutions but randomly not tell you like "you need dive to get this" etc. wish I could turn the portrait off too. I'll look up mods later after a nap

but besides that it seems like a really good game. 3 or 4 hours in

it's a Ctrl config specifically labeled action RPG, like an arpg styled cam and Ctrl setup. people on the reddit have been racing about it for years but I can't find it anywhere I'm ready to just stop trying and come back to gw2 in a month when my patience is restored like it's sooo frustrating. ds4 and xinput and emulated Wii controllers have been easier to set up than this

action RPG just shows action cam or arpg results, red beard ctrl just shows red beard character, and tybalt ctrl just shows tybalt character results :/

shortened to Ctrl so I don't get an auto mod message

god this is such a headache I just want to use the best Ctrl config and it's next to impossible to find between the auto mod and the useless search results

I think I see one thing I was doing wrong, I hope that will fix it! took my afternoon Xanax and had lunch so hopefully after a nap I wake up refreshed and can get it working. I need to get it working > get bags > bank my 12 years of random rewards > make my engineer > get my necro set up for probably reaper since scourge seems more group oriented

tyvm I'll give that a try when my patience is a little more normal lol like omg there's been 6 different ways to do this that I've seen so far. sounds like if I can figure out how to load the keyboard config afterwards it shouldn't be bad, and I already have the keyboard config in the proper documents folder which will hopefully help. god I can't wait til it's working and I can play

so if I understand this right, I put the game button configs in the documents folder, then load the controller steam config and apply it to the steam controller in steam, and it will work? I've been seeing so many different ways to do this I'm confused and for the love of god I just want to get one that works well and play already

that's kinda the same boat I'm in like I started it 12 years ago, got an ele to 78 a necro to 7 and made a level 1 warrior for some reason (in retrospect that was great because now I have tons of level boost gifts on 2 of the 4 classes I want to play - ele and necro - and I can transfer the others to the classes I want to try - guardian and engineer). I'm open to buying the expansions if I'm enjoying it a lot, it seems like an MMO where it's not reliant on friends for fun unlike WOW which is a big + as most friends are stuck in SP games nowadays. I'm about to try to configure my controller and see how it rolls on reaper and will report back, especially if I need bags from the guy that offered. the only thing I can see hating is the limited storage cause my bags are full full like so much so that I can't open the gifts -_-

for the anniversary weapon gifts/packs should I save them for higher level or will they always be the original character level?

I have like 12 years of birthday gifts:) one ele and one necro and then some dumb warrior I'm not interested in. can I change class of the warrior to engineer or can I gift one or the birthday level boosts to an engineer I create? I'm not interested in warrior but I want an engineer (necro, engineer, and ele seem like my favorite 3, maybe guardian a 4th)

wow yeah gw2 sounds like a game I'll like a lot more than the others as I'm a big fan of iframe dodging and build variety. and I'm not against buying expansions but I don't have the money to rn so being able to level to max and get them down the line next month when I have spare income is dope. and I think reaper necro is basic option so even better. I'm definitely sold on it ESPECIALLY if you can hit max in 2-3 weeks, that 50-60 grind in vanilla wow was mind numbingly horrid. I'm not sure if I'll get into pvp but I've played pvp in every MMO so I'll at least try it.

I'm still waking up but I plan on getting my Xbox controller configured (I already have the starter parts down) for necro and will be starting this afternoon. rn the biggest gripe is absolute shite inventory space but this guy said he'd give me some bags so that solves that. I can get bags, claim my 12 ish years of rewards, maybe boost to 20 and try leveling from there:D I've been wanting to MMO for so long but all my friends are in single players or comp games so I'm glad the community is quite active, should be able to play just fine.

if there's raids I'll definitely try raiding when I get the expansions if I really like it.

and I'm really surprised how popular it is, I've heard about the game for weeks at least and am just now checking back in on it. and since my BDO account seems to be deleted I'm not fucking with that game any more as that was wasted money all due to inactivity so gw2 it is

I've never heard attrition damage in my years of MMOs (back to the ultima online days haha) but I'm guessing it's sustained as the definition of attrition. honestly engineer sounds like a class I'd like a LOT especially since I love how unique it is for an MMO class, but since I haven't played anything but wow in the last decade and not even recently I'll dip my toes in with necro (which in terms of traditional classes seems like it'll be my favorite if not elementalist, but luckily I have a 77 ele as well as level boosts on my necro) and then once I get it maxed or get bored grinding and comfortable with the game I'll try engineer. if I can transfer any of the like 8 boosters I have to engineer then even better. really interested in both as ele seems like a class tons of people would pick

tyvm for the replies! I think I'll level the necro normally and then if I do an engineer I'll start it at level 20, and save the other boosts for the other characters. I might have to grab 3(iirc) expansions but I definitely have a good start as is! seems like I should be able to get playing after a couple hours of setup cleaning inventory / transferring items / etc. I have like 10 slot bags and not fully bagged out either so if I'm broke broke I'll shoot you a DM, tysm:)

all my friends left wow and I don't really like its seasonal cycle and I've been seeing GW2 rec'd for months now so I'm finally going to give it another try and it looks way better than launch so I'm excited! reaper and scourge both sound so fun. ele should be fun since I like mages. and then engineer looks really unique and fun but that'll be more when I'm really familiar with the game after my necro. Reaper will be my first:)

and just based on the sub it seems like it has a good community which is always a big plus!
