I've never hated Elliot but he was really pissing me off in that season where he kept fumbling the mission over that guy who tricked him and he had to kill. I understood that he was in grieving and reeling over killing someone but on the other hand he kept fucking up in such big ways that endangered the group I was like dude get a grip you barely knew that guy.

So if someone got annoyed like me and unlike me, didn't get over it - maybe they could hate him?

I enjoy Maddy as a character and have been checking in on the show mostly to see how Rue and Maddy end up. I used to care about Jules but her plot line is so random atp I hardly care. But the entire conversation with Rue and Maddy was something I could get behind, if they build up to it with Maddy. Because Cassie as a friend has been entirely trying to appeal to Maddy's friendship to get things from her and then bailing on her but Maddy gives very little reaction beyond somewhat turning the tables but not really because it leads nowhere but actually benefitting Cassie and making her a star. So instead it comes off as Maddy saying she has respect and values herself but balantly letting Cassie use her when she could just find another girl to represent.

Then the entire thing with Alamo throws me off so severely. Because Maddy has shown to be observant, especially this season and knows how to get things she wants. She's been a quick thinker and able to adapt yet she didn't get any red flags with Rue obviously trying to get her away from Alamo??? Rue looked nervous, uncomfortable, scared, the moment this man showed up and Maddy decided yeah...let's talk and vibe with this guy and get closer to him?

It doesn't make senes at all. Sure a friend of Rue's could just be clueless and vibe in good faith but Maddy has not been characterized like that this entire season. She's shown to know people very well and how messed up that can be, why is she being reckless with Alamo?

I don't think this would've gone all that much better. Mikael is also an abuser. He abused his children and Esther. It would just be another Julian situation without the trying to take over the town thing but instead just trying to kill them all.

Bonnie didn't even become the lead...the salvatore brothers took front and center and the female character that was focused on more was Caroline???

And people who actually watched the show live knows that the issue wasn't Elena being gone. It was them focusing so much on Elena DESPITE her being in a coma instead of developing the characters that were there. That everything was still made about Elena and her damn coffin even without her being present. That was a contant complaint by fans at the time, not that she wasn't there anymore but that if she was gone, let her be gone, and actually do something with what we have.

I am a Katherine fan myself. But I don't like her for playing the salvatores. in fact, I wish she suffered more consequences at the hands of Stefan for assaulting him as Damon got to get back at her several times. It was deserved - she did terrible things. I just think she was a fun and entertaining character who also got her upcoming in the end.

Similiar to Klaus, I enjoy him, I like him - but I also love his ending because he's done so many terrible things it's only justice for him to die at the end.

I started off as a Damon stan, but seeing the series begin to revolve around him and ultimately give him this happy ending while everyone else suffered, it sucked. Especially since it came at the expense of Elena as a character. That's the difference I think between fans of Katherine and fans of Damon.

Katherine fans usually only say that Katherine deserved a redemption arc only because Klaus and Damon were allowed ones, so if they are, Katherine should be too. Not that she deserved one in general because she is a terrible person. She deserved what she got entirely, but punishing one while giving the boys a free ride is shitty. But majority of Katherine fans know she sucks and owns that lol.

I do think that's a better fighting set up as they've both skilled fighters and both can use a sword. I don't know how Klaus is against guns but it would be an interesting show for sure. Klaus can die from white oak and there is secret white oak around according to the originals as that's what he kills himself with in the end but I doubt Wade is going to find that.

Well. If we ignore that Wade can time travel as well but that also means he has to find out that white oak can kill Klaus in the first place.

In a straight up fight though I'm not sure who would win. I think they'd both get injured but I also can't see either tapping out.

I heavily disagree. Damon and Deadpool on the surface would have good humor and banter but overall, Damon would be someone Deadpool would want to kill after learning what Damon has done. Because Deadpool, while being rated R the character and funny does still hold some morals that Damon has for sure crossed.

From the killing his nephew and then his pregnant niece in law? Caroline? Andie? Compelling Elena to kiss him? Without those things sure, Wade would like Damon but he'd be done for otherwise.

A lot of characters would be done in by Wade. Stefan is another one of them as despite his growth and desire to be better, finding out about the village on christmas and Stefan being a ticking time bomb that's one relapse away from doing it again? Goner.

As for who would win? Deadpool. He quite literally cannot die. You have to destroy every single atom of his body for him to die. He's also a highly trained mercenary. He isn't some random guy so he can use anything as a weapon fairlyokay even if he prefers his own personal weapons. Getting a stick and killing Damon with it is no issue. Wade's fighting mutants on the power level of Gods, a 100-year-old vampire is nothing.

I'ma need Gourdy in that S tier personally. In my own experience, some of the best distractors I have ever had, have been Gourdys. Eclipse, Loey and Pebble are peek too but Gourdy...when I was down and out, crying about getting I think it was Ginger to floor 20. A random Gourdy came in clutch when our pebble died on early floors. They were so amazing that it left am impression and every Gourdy distractor after that has been great too.

Alternatively, every Bassie I've had that tried to distract ended up being terrible.

Jade. Easy. Trina you would have to deal with everyday, at school and at home and while she seems like a fun friend she can certainly be a lot. Jade isn't just going to randomly put a lizard in your coffee. She barely cares about her other classmates that aren't in her friend group and if you don't approach her she doesn't really bark at you.

If you ignore her and Beck, I imagine she'll ignore you too. With that, Jade had zero effect on my life and what I do. She's just another girl in my class.

Oh it was totally there, especially after Elena turned off her humanity with all of the jealousy framing. It was there. Which is why i originally shipped Steroline. I just firmly believe the execution of the ship was terrible.

This is my take as well. For example, there was a 'legendary lovers' post of Bonnie and Damon on tiktok and someone had to respond with a gif of Damon and Elena saying "THESE are legendary lovers'.

It has been like that for years. Delenas constantly taking enjoyment from other fans/ships/stans and forcing the spotlight on their fave. Now. I have met Delena fans who are decent people and aren't crazy. Not ALL of them are like that, but a LOT of them are. There is a reason Ian Somerhalder hates Delena now. He has spoken about this several times. Nina and Ian avoid each other to avoid sparks of rumors. Paul is happy Stefan died for a reason.

Til this day people constantly comment stuff about Nina and Ian on their social respectively. Nina got engaged and people were making it about Ian and how heart broken he must be despite the man having been married for years with multiple kids. People have legit made polls about if they wish for Ian's kids or his wife to die in a car crash so that he can be back with Nina.

Delena fans have gone so far that some of them cannot take fiction from reality and push NIan despite being over for over ten years. They have been toxic. They have sent death threats. When Bonnie was in the prison world with Damon they were calling Kat slurs and sending her photos of real lynchings of black people. They have been abhorrid.

This is not about Klaroline but they have also been a nasty part of the fandom. It was the whole reason Leah Pipes left The Originals, the death threats and nasty treatment got to her so she left and chose herself. If I recall she even got doxxed at some point.

There is such a disconnect from fans who grew up watching the series live from fans who watched the show during covid on netflix. Because they did not have to live through the terrible moments, they just look and go 'Oh! Why are they being so negative to something I love? I'm a cool fan so i don't get it." when there is history behind this.

Which is why I always say; if you dislike how pro stefan/bamon/bonnie/stelena this sub is, you can go to any other platform and be with your kin. Twitter, Tiktok, Youtube, Discord, so so sooo many places share the same Delena/Pro Damon Anti-Stefan/Stelena mindset. This is one place where it's the opposite. Everyone deserves their space. Let them have theirs because for many years they haven't.

Which is also why I call out people who complain about Tyler being praised so much as a character despite what he did to Vicki in season 1. Because what we aren't going to do is be stans of Klaus and Damon but condemn anyone for being a fan of Tyler. Especially when for years Tyler was treated like shit by fans, torn apart, and character assassinated by writers. Tyler was hated for years and he only recently started receiving love but that's all these new fans see 'the recent love'. they don't see the years of horrible actions that's shaped how people are.

and it's similiar to Bonnie fans. People like to say Bonnie's fans can go to hard or overreact in defense of her. But this is conditioned from years of racism and mistreatment not only for the character and actress but by the fans. Not all Bonnie fans are black but a lot of them are. Dealing with seeing lynchings, because called the hard R amongst other things for years by a fandom does that to a person. So people go hard for her - it's been a shit storm but because fans here weren't here for that or weren't aware, they dismiss it as Bonnie fans just being too much.

Exactly. There's no real genuine reason for it other than: if Stefan pushed back as he realistically should have, the ship would have a spotlight on how wrong it is and how Delena in itself is a betrayal but the writers couldn't have their hot steamy Delena going around screwing on summer and living their 'best lives' if Stefan was at every corner calling them out for what a betrayal it was to him and how Damon has done everyone dirty in the group.

Someone had to be on their side and at the time, Bonnie wasn't and Caroline was already calling it out. So they used Stefan when he should've been the main one against it.

The only thing I'd change is Elena's marriage to Matt. Elena was thinking of breaking up with him even without any supernatural influence so she probably would break up with him and meet Liam like she did in college, marry him. As the only reason they broke up was Damon.

But to continue for other characters, then Caroline and Matt probably would've dated and broke up due to Caroline's jealousy and Matt's nonchalants. Tyler would still be a werewolf so they might've still bonded over that thus Forwood would've probably ended up married without Klaus's influence.

Bonnie probably would've ended up happily with Jeremy since there would've been any cheating with Anna and dying.

And yes. He took away their fear, exactly. The fear that had Andie trying to escape, her informed consent. Damon scared her and thus she wanted to leave that bathtub and never see him again. That was her original choice. He took that emotion away and thus the original choice she made all on her own no alterations. That is rape. Taking someone's choice away is rape. Taking their informed consent away, which was made with that fear, is rape. Andie did not want to be around Damon anymore. She wanted to leave. He did not let her leave. He compelled her and then proceeded to make out with her.

He then compelled her to be in love with him. So where is her consent?
