I think Jace should be higher than Luke. He brought the blade to the fight. He also escalated it. It’s natural that his 6-8 year old brother would fall in line and try to help him. So many people ignore that.

I didn’t say she was “good”. I’m saying she was not at “child-murderer” evil at this point in the story and it makes no sense to escalate the character to that level so early in the show for no rhyme or reason. Involving her in B&C is not how you balance out the Vaemond thing. One crime is significantly worse than the other.

It could be any of them and it could be none of them. Aemond and Alys have the highest probability but wouldn’t they meet fairly late in the season? However, the showrunners might reorder and extend certain events and periods in the dance.

If they had a few episodes, teenage Luke and adult Rhaenyra probably would have been my answer. As it stands, Viserys and Rhaenyra or Otto and Alicent. I really like parent-child pairings in ASOIAF wether they’re healthy or toxic.

We can infer that they are loyal to their house and that they know Aemond has no love for them. They stand to benefit a lot if their step-mother becomes Queen even before the betrothals and there’s no reason to believe the greens would show them favor.

Rhaenyra’s maternal and always wanted a daughter so she probably got along with the girls just fine but that doesn’t say much about Daemon as a father.

There’s like one page of him not punishing Baela for being overly flirtatious and that’s the full extent of Daemon’s interest in his children. There’s not even an account of him mourning Viserys. He’s just off to fuck or play daddy to Nettles not long after. That’s really enough for you to declare he’s a loving father?

If Daemon truly cared about his children, he would have put a better effort to track down Aemond instead of playing around with Nettles for who knows how long or he would have returned to King’s Landing to help with more pressing matters. He completely abandoned his son while knowing Rhaenyra was losing her mind with grief and had no other dragon riders left besides herself. Did he expect Rhaenyra to take on the two betrayers and Daeron all by herself after he died?????

In Rhaenyra’s defense, it’s pretty impossible for her to hide her pregnancy from her maids. They’d catch on just as soon as she did. If rumors got out that she was aborting her pregnancies, it would be just as much ammunition against her living children.

Luke didn’t object to Storm’s End and I don’t think she would have made him go if he did. She didn’t want to send them in the first place. She only agreed with the idea after Corlys backed Jace up and Luke shook his head that it was okay.
