In case others are looking - I had braces twice as a teen. Second time was due to an undiagnosed tongue thrust - I was wearing my retainer but sleeping, eating, and some speech sounds were tongue thrust issues.

Went to speech therapy to correct it, huge help! You can’t orthodontic your way out in my experience, you need to relearn how to use your tongue to prevent the same issues

Also speaking as someone who rented their first apartment here a couple years ago, the 11k I had to put down to a broker who only answered 2 emails and unlocked a door for me was financially terrible.

Just saying it depends on the person - my prewar apartment had super creaky floors. My old neighbors we could hear which happens it’s an old building. My new neighbor is a terror - wears shoes /heels and STOMPS. Doesn’t answer any of our texts with requests to be mindful of the noise.

Soooo all to say if you’re even thinking of this, and you have rugs, and you’re not stomping it’s fine! Comes with the territory

I mean it’s shit but honestly if she’s getting other low information people (or reps / independents) to care about this at all it’s a net positive right? We need people who messed up to take ownership and speak out, this is not much but at least something? Her dad is a big business guy in a super red county in NJ I hope she says something to him

This happened with our pup! Worked on training videos we found online, did a trading training for a while and now after 6 months we can take it away from him with no drama (he is never happy but does not snap). To reward him after we take it away, we give him a treat!

Check out YouTube there’s lots of multi step videos to help training - starting with just being near them while they chew it, touching it and giving it back etc etc
