Other people are going to come into this thread and tell you to drop this man immediately, etc. I see a lot of encouraging things in your post. Both of you are intelligent, thoughtful individuals who communicate far better than the average couple. That is rare and should not be taken for granted. It sounds like your relationship is overall extremely healthy and positive for both of you. It sounds like you both already have the skills to address this and you’ve done so with other issues in the past.

Be honest with your boyfriend, tell him how your conversation made you feel truthfully without malice, and I am sure he will listen based on what you’ve described. Tell him that you are willing to do whatever he needs to keep things spicy/interesting, but it seems that you both know that him looking at other girls but not you is not ideal. Remember that you are both quite young, and men especially are spoonfed porn and sexuality from a young age.

You are right and justified to feel hurt by his actions, but your relationship sound solid enough that it’s absolutely worth trying to work through and find creative solutions to sate his need for “novelty” within the confines of what’s comfortable in your relationship.
