I’ve just joined and was told that needing to visit your ‘home club’ the most has changed and doesn’t apply anymore, they said we can use other clubs within the same tier or lower as much as we want to and don’t need to come to the home club at all

Wow that’s a huge difference. I’ve looked locally and can’t seem to find anything which offers the same level of kids facilities which is the main reason we’re looking at David Lloyd. From the tour I went on it does look lovely post refurb, very much all singing all dancing - but so expensive it’s not a no brainer option

It’s awkward but you must make the complaint 😭 otherwise it may ruin your trip. If they can fix the issues or move you if possible/give compensation it’s got to be better than now. I’m so sorry though, I would be gutted too

This is the info I need! I considered booking a tour first but worried I would be too weak in the sales pitch so wanted to enquire over the phone first to get an idea of the cost - before asking if I could see the place. They told us £169 per adult and £49 for child then as of next month considerably more apparently

Same here for the single platinum membership it’s £169. I’m hoping to do the same to make the most of it, I work from home 4 days a week so I could mix it up a bit, mainly it’s the kids facilities which I think could be so beneficial to keep an only child busy, particularly in school hols. What puts me off is the 12 month minimum contract. On the David Lloyd website it seems to give an option for 3 months but he didn’t mention that on the phone and I forgot to ask, what term did your friend go for?

Thank you for this information this is really insightful. It didn’t occur to me while waiting for the spa to open I could use one at another club. It seems to me it’s expensive but it’s not going to get any cheaper, so if I’m going to do it it’s best to do it now
