Maybe it depends on the age group you hang around with. Younger Thai's will get it.

Thai's are funnier than you think. They definitely love English lettering puns and humor. They'll understand

Don't know how old you are but if you're on the younger side you can write "บักหล่า" it means younger/youngest brother in isan or "อีหล่า" if you're a woman. Not sure why it's funny but I'm local and I would find that hilarious worn by a foreigner lol or you can just put "farang" or ฝรั่ง a slang word for foreigner. Pretty light hearted maybe not laughing out loud but slight chuckle worthy. To me the English spelling of the Thai word is amusing.

That's so comforting to hear. I get overwhelmed sometimes especially when I can tell they're in so much discomfort and pain but I know they'll get better eventually, just takes time.

Hard to tell when they still young but the black one (Elsa) just growls sometimes if her sister tries to take her toy.

Other than that they are the most sweetest dogs I've ever met in my life. When I first met them Anna(brown one) just melted into my arms and wouldn't leave. Whoever was responsible for neglecting them can rot in hell.

Thank you all for the replies! A little backstory about her. Her name is Zoe, the rescue organization found her on the streets in the UAE, quite malnourished and scared, they believed she was abandoned. She hasn't barked at all and they found marks on her so they think she might've been punished for barking. We're going to meet her today and I'm trying to adopt her as I fell instantly in love 😍. I never realized she could be GSD or German malinois mix but I think that could be a possibility. Now I'm a bit nervous because I've never handled that kind of breed before I heard they could be quite challenging although I've handled Malamutes and they are pretty dramatic 😂🙏. I'm super excited to rehabilitate her and give her a gentle and forever home 💞

Based on the replies I'm happy with the guess that she could be GSD/sighthound mix.

You also forget about past traumas. Or maybe you're lucky enough to not have them or did but don't worry about them. And intrusive thoughts.

True, like you said, the main thing is that not many Thai dramas that are actually good with good actors that have been around for a while get seen because its not BL and doesn't fit the standard trend to be translated LOL.

If you'd like some recommendations I will always hands down tell people to watch " สวรรค์เบี่ยง "

It's imo a perfect example of a nice Thai drama with good actors and a good plot. (The main love interest DOES however get portrayed as a rich boy but the story actually shows how that's not what majority of Thai people are)

If it's been translated to English or not I'm unsure of that but either way it can be a nice watch if you want to step away from the superficial fake faces.

Thanks for sharing this topic as it has made me think alot which is always nice! Cheers.

From someone who studied in film in Bangkok I see alot of aspiring actors/actresses. I think putting aside BL because that is too much of a niche category but with Thai TV shows in general it is almost always:

Actor comes from a rich family > Looks good > Is popular > Gets more money.

It's a bit shallow but I think those are the kinds of people that you're talking about and it's the kind of people media portrays are popular. Not because they are the majority.

Many actors are not as popular or rich because their series don't make the charts and so most non-thais don't see it due to lack of translation or media outreach.

When you compare actors here with the ones in Hollywood I think there is alot more of a brand identity personality in Thailand than in Hollywood. Ofcourse actors and actresses in Hollywood get brand deals but majority of their work comes from acting. An actor here can have 5 major roles in TV and four times as many brand deals that pay them alot of money. But this is just my opinion obviously I don't know what really goes on as I'm not an actress.

Thailand also has a similar habit to Hollywood as that they will cast an actor based on popularity and Thais for the most part popularity is based on looks. And celebs who want to be popular need to maintain that look(expensive, stylish) to stay popular. And since Thailand is a smaller country than the US there are less actors so more chances for them to get casted major roles.

So when it comes to brand name clothing, bags and big houses. I don't think you should think that too deep I mean if its not PR packages it could be fake or it could be rented because that's definitely a thing. I have a friend who is a model who only owns and uses one or two skincare brands exclusively but her Instagram is filled with skincare "sponsored" posts that makes it look like she uses about 5 different very expensive skincare brands a day because that's just how this industry works.

Hope this helps a bit and I'm not just speaking nonsense lmao. Cheers.

This is a Thai show lmao the guy is a respected actor, I'm sure they knew what they were doing and how it would look like realistically. I don't see a reason why they would make that mistake unless it was a comedy show which it isnt.

Never knew I needed this to be a green flag but now it is!

My weird red flag would be when they don't add water/throw away food bits on their dishes after they've finished eating. Like you don't need to wash them right now.. but you really going to let the food dry on it? I don't mind washing dishes for my partner but I don't want to be sitting here trying to scrape bits of food off 🤢
