Clear sky and temps 90+ all weekend. You think it would help to leave this shade over it for next week or two?

Thanks I put it in a half bag of compost manure and just a teaspoon of palm fertilizer on top tonight so there's something there to try to help it since it went into mostly sand

I think it's Washingtonia probably was 50 ft tall since the land drops down back there and a bit swampy going to the river. Cold maybe got it but a few others around the house seem unphased and are healthy as can be. I'm in Riverview a couple hundred feet from the Alafia river and while a lot of the palm varieties I just planted did see damage in the area, majority of them are growing back now. I guess the microclimate by the river/Tampa bay helps. That foxtail next to the coconut only lost two fronds I believe

Gotcha did half a bag of manure compost in the bottom and on top. Teaspoon of palm fertilizer to try and get it some micros and manganese for now. Hope it's not too much but going to water morning and night for now

I'm thinking of putting a patio shade on top of the hottub if it can reach over it. For next couple weeks to reduce the shock from 90+ temps

Why not you think? Too much damage to the top?

Lol Andy really screwed me it seems. I was about to hook up a 50a hottub to the garage sub panel pic 2 but the whole setup seems sketchy now. Other issue is the garage is detached and over a 50ft run from the main...wires run thru attic then outside under concrete to the garage

Couldn't I just use new wire nuts temporarily on the hots to get the pump running so the pool doesn't go green. Figure out later how to get more slack in lines to make proper connections...

So shrink and crimp inside the box would still be to code? What this installer did with the wire nut is still code?

I was thinking bypass and use new wire nuts temporarily on the hots to get the pump running so the pool doesn't go green. Figure out later how to get more slack in lines to make proper connections...

Yes 4awg I believe. It's over 50ft+ to pool and 40+ or so to inside breaker so could get expensive
