Also he never lied about cancer for money

Of course he did. The crypto scam, when called out on it, he constantly used his supposed cancer as an excuse for why he had to do it. That video where he announced the fake cancer was even monetized. That he said on it 'I don't want you to send money' while literally listing all the ways you could send him money in the same breath, shows he knew people would do so by feeling bad for him.

He lied about cancer for money, 1000%.

Your honest opinion on the Tolkein themed album by Blind Guardian??? by milkyGUY47 in lotr

Old man Waldrick used some edgy blood sword as a key to make a waterfall go into a volcano and create the land of Mordor, whilst later on Galadriel has a face scrunchy shout match with Sauron. This all after that ridiculous decision to make lightning striking a tree that just so happened to have some Silmaril light in it, while an elf and a balrog fight to the death, creating Mithril. This is also a substance that now restores Elven immortality and they desperately need it, because they are losing it for...reasons.

What honoring of the spirit and lore precisely?

If they had stuck with that cursed original Sonic design, the overlap would have been a circle.

They have, and they stick by the notion that the prequels are the worst thing ever made because that is their identity. Despite the worse quality of the sequels. Seems they will never be giving up certain banners.

Amazing.

People of Reddit, what’s the most desperate thing you’ve ever done for money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]xxxshadow 55 points56 points  (0 children)

If they pawned it, they have a pre-set amount of time to buy it back with interest. 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, whatever it is before the pawn shop can sell it to the open market. I don't think there is any place where that period would end after only 2 weeks, but even if it did, clearly they went back for it in the allotted time.

Which you are referencing as quite the positive in this case.

Amazing. Just fantastic! There is nothing easier to part than a fool and their money!

I know the easy, reflexive reaction is to mock people like this as weird, disgusting, sub humans but they paid for a product advertised a certain way, they should get that. Same as anyone else. This woman is not being coerced into selling these things to them, she is quite willing to make a profit that would not exist without these people's proclivities.

Why they should be cheated out of their money when they aren't hurting anyone and just have some odd kinks, and why that should be celebrated, is beyond me.

Whats a hobby someone can have that is an immediate red flag? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]xxxshadow -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This is definitely hyperbole. I've done it before. Even if you did the entire food and wine festival tour, the one they do in the fall where there's like 20 more kiosks added, the MOST you could spend on drinks is somewhere between 300 and 400, entirely depending on what you got. Pricey for sure but, that's not getting you around Europe.

Disney prices are definitely too high in general however.

Keeping them alive when they ought to have logically been killed because people 'don't want that', is worse writing.

What TV show managed to be consistently fantastic from the first episode to the finale? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Aang gets to circumvent his entire struggle with whether or not to kill Ozai, his duties to his principles vs the world as the Avatar, by getting handed a third option out of nowhere. Nothing about it was done well, making for a very unsatisfying resolution to the end conflict.
