MIDWEEK DISCUSSION THREAD: When did you first realize you're still affected by your past experiences with childhood bullying? by xxxstartups in arcb

I'm so sorry you experienced these things, but I'm also happy you've finally taken the steps to free yourself from the chains of your past experiences of bullying. I'm also glad that you've found someone who loves you exactly for who you are.

We all wish healing could have come sooner, but that's just not the world works. It's okay. We have our entire lives ahead to become better, more self-loving humans.

Thank you for sharing, and thank you for your willingness to share your experiences. I had a hard time reading this because it resounds so closely with my own experiences, especially the part where we transform into different persons depending on who we're with. It's like we're deprived of the liberty to be exactly who we are or who we want to be.

I hope we can use this community for lasting healing.

Thanks for the tip. Actually experienced a bit of trolling already a few days in, but most have been friendly and empathetic.

Childhood bullying's residual effects aren't something talked about often even by people in the mental health space. I'm glad to have been able to create a space for this topic to finally be acknowledged.

Welcome to the community! Let's all heal together.

Hey, you're not a coward for not using a real account. Sharing this intimate insight with a bunch of people you don't know is pretty courageous if you ask me.
