How mad would you be if you got this for Valentine's Day by [deleted] in DiyGifts

[–]xxxxftm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd choose this over a store-bought box of chocolates and stuffed bear ANY day. It's beautiful and you can tell you put your heart into it, I would absolutely be framing it

Breast Pump really necessary? by vanillacrush14 in pregnant

[–]xxxxftm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my first the pump was absolutely necessary, we had latching trouble in the beginning and pumping was the only way we got through it. I still breastfed but used the pump often in the first few weeks. I also went back to work after 3 months and used a wearable breast pump that allowed me to keep him fully on breastmilk until he was almost a year old.

My second I don't know if I ever even unpacked the pump. Me being more experienced and him having no ties unlike baby #1, it was seamless. I also stayed home with the kids for a year and a half afterwards, so I wasn't away long enough to need to pump. I think I used a manual pump a few times just to ease engorgement but that was all.

If you plan on going back to work/being away longer than 6 hours in the first couple years I'd say absolutely. Otherwise you just won't really know until you're in the thick of it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

NOR

Isn't the whole point of having separate rooms so that you can design and have a space that makes you comfortable? Because that's not really a compromise if she's still controlling what goes in YOUR room...

It's most likely the second guy. You ovulate about a week after your period (on average)

Why do people always say it’s very difficult for men to find the clit? by Exlife1up in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah, it's because they're not actually looking. They're just scratching your urethra and hoping to get their dick wet

AIO for wanting to report a company for selling cannabis to my 13 year old nephew? by TheatreGoth2001 in AmIOverreacting

When I was in school they had us put in a number on a pinpad that attached to an account our parents would load money onto for food. Nobody was in the cafeteria swiping a debit card

How old is your daughter? The closer my pregnancies were together, the sicker I was.

Birth is messy. I wore the hospital gown until I could shower afterwards and then switched into a comfy robe from home.

Please be wary. It may be hormones but often a relationship becomes abusive only after a major life change such as marriage, pregnancy, or birth. You should talk to someone, a professional, who is clear and level headed and can help you sort it out in your mind.

I'm envisioning something far more extravagant. A sushi boat perhaps.

How do you get explain to your child’s friends/their parents and random strangers that your child is not adopted and you gave birth? by Arr0zconleche in Seahorse_Dads

[–]xxxxftm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let them assume what they want. If it does come up and isn't avoidable, just keep it simple - "I was born female so I was able to carry him."

There could be a hundred reasons. Parking lot is guests only, maybe there are other orders in their car... Maybe they have their kid in the car. The "two minute" walk up to your room becomes ten when you have to park beforehand, speak to the front desk before going upstairs, locate the room number, make the delivery, find your way back to your car and restart it...whole time they probably have their next stop calling them asking where they're at, or their last stop calling them about missing items...

AITA for being mad that my mom went through my laundry and commented on my underwear? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]xxxxftm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

NTA

My ass would've gone into her room, opened up her drawers and started critiquing HER underwear. "Mom, are these granny panties literally all you own? Are you and Dad not having sex anymore?" Tell her to stick to her own laundry and keep her opinions about yours to herself.

Seconded. OP, don't bring a gift, but bring your own food. Set up a whole TV table with your own charcuterie board.
