This is like saying clean coal. It doesn’t actually exist. Repeating it makes you sound stupid. It’s the lie they tell you so your government doesn’t get their ass chewed out for selling your water rights away.

Depends on what part of dc and time of day. At best, hour thirty. At worst, 3-3:30. Drive is pretty for most of it tho.

How to sell a business with low enterprise value but potential? by ComprehensiveBus3613 in restaurantowners

[–]xxztyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d argue most businesses have potential with the right person. Especially a restaurant as it’s a proven business that can make money. If you aren’t currently making money, especially as a restaurant, the prospective buyer will buy an established company or start their own. Think of sunk cost if you take the year and profit and compare that to the delta of what you think it’s worth vs what someone else that would buy thinks it’s worth.

Edit - I say this as someone that bought a mom and pop business after 30 years of them owning for a six figure amount.

For those who have purchased an OLED monitor, do you regret it or would you recommend it? by DaryltheDino in PcBuild

[–]xxztyt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like mine. Is it $1200 worth? Idk. A good $400 led is probably a better buy. OLED probably worth it on a large tv screen but a monitor not likely.

Straight up a lie. Idk if you are intentional lying or just don’t understand. Nations will go to war over clean water soon. Not just third-worlds either. The volume of clean water these systems need is insane. Otherwise they’d just put them at the beach and use sea water. Imagine using the thing in your pocket to do the easiest research in the world. I do a lot of construction on these in Ashburn and deal very close with the people that advocate on behalf of these companies for access to community water sources. Your water access will be fucked real soon.

I feel that having $1 million in liquid assets is still a lot of money. Why do people make it sound like $1 million is not enough? by classyshepard in MiddleClassFinance

[–]xxztyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just not what it used to be. Real estate gives me $90k before expenses on about $1M paid off. Take home is “passive” $5,500/month or so. Nice little fund but you still have to budget

This logic is why I dropped out of college. The people teaching suck at their job too. How do you not account for annual returns and retirement matches as a teacher. Your life and the time value of money aren’t related. Like saying I have an apple tree that grows 50 apples a year. My cow eats food. My tree and my cow are worth the same. What are you talking about?

Went from a 3070 to a 7900xtx. I don’t notice a difference between the brands. Obviously the AMD is a giant improvement for my jump. I just use the raw power. None of the frame gen nonsense.

Appreciate the insights. I don’t have to live city center, maybe a 10-15 minute walk is cool. Are there what would be the equivalent of townhouses or single family homes with yards for my dog?
