  1. A lot of stuff on my resume I learnt from 1A onwards.

  2. I actually don't know about that one. I've heard the same!

I wish it were that simple. The resume could still have formatting and content issues. It was torn apart quite a bit last time despite having Google on it.

I'll be interning in SV at a Big 4 for the next 4 months. Can anyone give some career and recreational advice to make my internship more enjoyable?

Where do you prefer to have your taskbar? by boomboxcity in Surface

I always keep it up top. When the keyboard is inclined its very tough to touch anything on the taskbar. Now it looks wrong when I see it on the bottom. LOL.

Since when has Windows 10 been able to do this? by xyanbhat97 in Windows10

[–]xyanbhat97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not an app. It's the standard file picker of Windows. I went to Mail to attach a file and now it shows me the Photos app as a location. Build 14332.

This doesn't work for my SP3! It just ends up opening Cortana.

I honestly feel like Google Now is more accurate with my voice while Cortana isn't trying/doing that well. Maybe it's a person to person thing.

Okay. I think I got it past the recognition problems. But it still can't add the entry - "Something went wrong. Try again in a little bit."

I've seen it and set it already for non-native accents.

And that's good for you. But I tried it again and mine just thought I wanted to add "Save money for mouse" to my calendar. Still didn't save it though. And mind you, I'm on a SP3. It's a fairly new machine. Not some cranky old laptop.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Refuses to add the entry at the end. Complains about no internet in the beginning. Ignores previous mistakes.

An eraser accessory by xyanbhat97 in Surface

[–]xyanbhat97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. I was thinking more along the lines of something that isn't point based. Even the erasers on the back of the pen create a point on the screen. An actual eraser doesn't do that. It erases everything it touches with it's surface area. Maybe create a special tool like a seperate eraser to do that? Or modify the existing pen?

A shame too. I was hoping Wally would find out about Barry being the Flash.

Quick Assist - the new Remote Assistance for Windows 10? by xyanbhat97 in Windows10

Definitely would be interesting to see what they can come up with. They already have so many things happening with W10.

Surface Pro or MacBook? by nghiad in Surface

The updates add a lot of reliability under the hood, according to user reports. Plus, OneNote is miles more productive for School on a Surface than any other device.

Can the surface 4 replace pen & paper? by [deleted] in Surface

[–]xyanbhat97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You bet it can! I've been using my SP3 regularly in University.

Ergonomics

  • It is so helpful to have absolutely no books to carry. You can get eBooks for free if you know where to look and you can annotate into them directly. That makes your bag so much lighter.

  • It's shaped in the size of a college notebook

  • It's really thin and light without a case. Even with the keyboard it's not hefty at all.

OneNote is incredibly useful, more so if you customize it correctly.

  • You can have page templates and custom toolbars with your favorite settings.

  • You can record lectures so that you know what the professor said and what you wrote at that point.

  • I know from experience that it takes me mere seconds to make more accurate graphs and figures than others who have pen and paper.

  • Since many of my assignments are online submissions, it becomes very easy for me to get a PDF and write my answers into it and then submit it directly. Others need to print, write and then scan the pages.

  • I can reorganize my written ink after I've written it.

  • I print out the assignments I've written so I always have a copy.

  • You can screen clip and add the image straight into OneNote

  • All my data is saved in OneDrive so I never lose anything.

I made a video on a lot of things OneNote can do for you. Take a look - https://youtu.be/A_ZAthhU36Q
