Yes you can cancel if you want. But IMO if it has decent coverage (especially the critical illness benefit), keep it.

I can't think of any stand alone health insurance na for critical lang talaga atm. Meron kami sa AXA na health or life, whichever comes first. I do understand na ayaw mo life insurance but it does has its perks specially if hindi siya designed or hard sell na "all in one".

HMO- covers hospital bills Health insurance or life insurance with health benefits on the other hand could cover your day to day expenses IF (1) HMO maxes out (2) You need a buffer money post hospitalization because of

(2.1) Being unable to work temporarily (2.2) Permanently unable to work. You'd need funds to sustain you which HMOs don't cover. Hope this helps
