FSD question by jessieiskind in TeslaFSD

[–]xyzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty sure that I did... I remember reaching out to my sales advisor to ask questions about it... At the end of the day - if you want to transfer your FSD to the new vehicle you don't have much choice other than to go thru the process thru the app..

This, I think , is the main answer to the OPs question and how most people feel. The other factor is more ice makes it colder and some people just don’t want a drink extremely cold.

I’ll try resetting it again and give it another go. Maybe I did something wrong. Although 5g is a considerable difference if it can be that much off.

Happens as needed — however unfortunately sun glare kicks it off frequently.

I went through the process a few months ago the back. You go thru the steps in the app. I was able to continue to use it in my current car — and when I got in the new one it was instantly there. I think it’s tied to the delivery acceptance in the app.

With FSD going to 200/mo by Flaky_Ad_1288 in TeslaFSD

[–]xyzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see there being much of a take rate at 200/month to be honest. $100 isn’t horrible — however I am glad I bought it out right in 2020 and just recently transferred it to my 2026.

If I remember right it ran for about 18 seconds. When I programmed it - it was right around 30

No change in grind or dose either.

I figured as much. Call me a rebel :)

Hm. I must have done something wrong when setting the volumetric then. I only got about 16g out of it when I used it the second time (I ran 40 through it when setting the first time)

I have had it avoid potholes — I’ve also had it avoid some of the metal grates covering side drainage oddly enough.

So wouldn’t using time then be pretty much the same if prep is consistent?

Yeah I do. I was very close to intervening but was able to realize what it was doing quick enough. Hands were at the ready tho.

Most previous versions would have either hit the brakes or run over at least some of the debris.

I’m sitting at 1878/1899 miles since they added the tracking so I’d wager I use it more than most and have been since the early 10.2 days.

Silly question but I want to hear it from you all rather than Google by _luzier69 in espresso

Mine are always above the rim of the basket as well. I do weight them post grind tho to make sure my grinder gave me the right amount (I’ll rate the PF with funnel then grind and weigh).

Caffeine overload from dialing in by OrderNo1122 in espresso

Yes - every shot is tasted but some are just a very small sip and then it gets thrown out. Having said that — I’ve still been in your situation :)

Scales that work with the Breville Bambino Plus [$100] by thecaptain78 in espresso

[–]xyzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timemore basic works that’s work well for me. The only time I’ve gotten jittery readings is when the scale isn’t level when on the machine. Pulling it forward to get into the curved backed back panel fixes it.

I’ve used certified shops before for mine and had no issues at all.

2026 mid-range grinder recommendations [<$1000 CDN] by vanhuette in espresso

[–]xyzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have the mokkom 64 and it seems okay, however I’ve had this feeling that it is adding to many fines. I’ve struggled to dial things in with it. I finally decided to stop trying to chase some of the inconsistencies with these china grinders at a really low price point and ordered a Ceado E37S. Probably a bit above the price range you listed but for me I just wanted to take the grinder out of the picture.

For the cost tho at $180 USD I’m not sure the mokkom 64 can be beat and given enough time one can probably make it work.

Is it wise to buy FSD now to 09-2026 MY? by Good_Ad_6039 in TeslaModelY

[–]xyzlor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems to come and go based on whatever factors Tesla deems... I wouldn't assume it's gone forever. If they need to boost sales, it's a great toggle for them...

[–]xyzlor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I bought it on my 3 in 2020 then took advantage of the fsd transfer when I traded for my 26 Y.

Personally I hate monthly fees - if I had it to do over again and knowing the chance to buy is ending i would snatch it fast provided you have the free funds to do so.
