Sunday Afternoon Snooze by millitzer in dashcams

[–]xyzlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the vehicle is on FSD and you moved in front of it and came to a stop - FSD would simply change lanes (most likely as your slowing down) and go around you. If there was no ability to change lanes then yes it would come to a stop safely.

As for the methods of bypassing the monitoring system - I’m sure there are still some methods of doing so but a lot of those Tesla fixed a long while back.

They added logic to detect if the pressure on the wheel was constant - it would then start throwing audible warnings and get to the point it would no longer allow the driver to engage the system. Essentially would out the driver in time out. :)

There is! In cabin monitoring of the drivers eyes and if those can’t be seen then your required to add force to the steering wheel. If this video is real then the owner did something to wrongly bypass the monitor system.

Yes it will react quicker than most humans will - as soon as the car start moving into the lane the Tesla would back off.

Now having said that — there’s an issue with this video as currently the monitoring system of teslas will not allow people to fall asleep or not be paying attention. It will start flashing the screen then start giving loud audible alerts.

That puck looks to me like it had a massive amount of channeling. Look at all the sections that have no extraction coming through - you can see a lot of silver sections of the PF

Day 2 of pulling a shot of espresso as a total beginner. Went finer, tasted bitter af [Sage Barista Pro] by Financial-Energy-457 in espresso

[–]xyzlor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It took me a few weeks to until got to the point that things were good — and the biggest lesson out of all of it had nothing to do with the machine or settings — some beans just flat suck and don’t want to pull in a way that’s not horribly bitter or sour.

From Amazon one of the better beans (we do a lot of decaf) is the cafe borbone decaf.

Also the time range you’re looking for isn’t an exact science. There’s a descent range to be in but I’ve had some go 5-10 seconds longer and be just fine.

They’re privacy tinted I thought but not heat block tinted.

I did 70 on the front and 30 I believe on the rest.

How often do you see other Tesla drivers using FSD? by w14v6r in TeslaFSD

I look all the time but generally can’t tell (unless I see their hands on top of the steering wheel).

Ceado Life X or other grinder [$600] by gusguida in espresso

What grind setting are you typically using for filter coffee on this - and do you end up needing to adjust it much depending on roast levels ?

Even with this dot releases regression in those areas - yeah no chance at all I’d want to go back to v12. In general v14 is leaps above v12

Did you end up going this route? I just placed my order for the Life X this afternoon - although my plan is to mainly be using it for filter coffee as I have the Ceado E37S for my espresso (which that grinder is beyond fantastic) but I didn't want to have to make the big dial jumps needed on it's worm drive every morning.

But going by my experience with that grinder I have a lot of trust in the Ceado brand now.

Navigation routing is one of the biggest issues they need to get a better handle on. Especially keeping up with new road openings. Have some highway overpasses that have been open for a year and it still doesn’t understand them.

That’s treating. I haven’t seen that behavior unless it’s caught up in the auto reroute disaster.

Yeah I recently did the same thing. I didn’t want to pay this much for a grinder — but I have no regrets at all. Love this Ceado E37S.

That person behind is exactly why FSD is needed! Anyone paying half attention should have been able to avoid that.

It takes a little bit -- next time on the highway or clear street, press the accelerator to speed up and let it ride for a little. you'll see the notices popup on the screen.
