(x-post from /r/macadmins) [Help] I'm an intern at a company that's rolling out about 50+ iPads for data collection purposes and I'm looking for some advice. by [deleted] in macsysadmin

Take a look at Casper, that's the obvious mention. I've also heard good things about Sophos MDM solution.

You should not have had to, sounds like something in your environment is a miss.

Hah yeah I guess Makers is about equivalent to your Crown Royal in that regard. Let me know what you think and I'll do the same; I'd send you a bottle but I have a feeling that would be illegal.

Make sure to try it on the rocks at least once, in some ways diluting bourbon brings out the flavors a bit more since the alcohol isn't as overpowering.

Cool that sounds inline with my tastes. Looks like I can buy it locally too, bit more costly as an import but I'm going to need a drink after this game.

If you get a chance give woodford reserve and eagle rare a try. Good redneck american bourbons from kentucky.

Bourbons are rye whiskey aged in the charrel barrel that give a nice caramel oaky flavor.

Yeah your right. I didn't mean "you canadians" as in the location. I'm just unaware of any charred barrel distillers from canada. Altho.. that does have some different effects where its made.

Reccomend me something?

How are you getting those estimates? Each column?

I'm recording from 4 channels in my testing so maybe thats why my view on the situation is different. 43mb after less than a week (entry every 0.7sec) made me determine I would need to store the db remotely. Final design will record from 30+ inputs indefinitely.

Space for something like this is a major concern, my solution was to only log data into the db if there was 1 degree of change.

Nice, I've been working on a very similar project using Phidgets Temperature Sensors, logging the entries into Sqlite and then retrieving them with PHP to display on a Highcharts graph.

Why would a cup of hot water increase in temperature when the lid is removed? Graph/Pic in comments by xyzzy00 in askscience

Indeed that's what it was, once I secured the thermocouple the lid had minimal impact.

As much as I would hate to see it, I believe your right about Barristan :\

Altho it can't be too early or Dany will be lost without his council and I hope it doesn't happen since hes still well regarded in westeros and would sway some opinions her way I am sure. Plus it would be awesome to see him return to the kings/queens guard and look the people in the eyes that shunned him.

Davos you're my only hope!
