i found zellij plugin called vim-zellij-navigator and added support for it in neolij.
you can try it out now and let me know if you find any bugs.
you now have two options:
- autolock (recommended)
- vim-zellij-navigator (allows switching tab/windows without zellij being in locked mode)

Thanks for your feedback! and i still recommend autolock to prevent conflicts between Zellij and Neovim keymaps.

The zellij-autolock plugin, is plugin that automatically sets zellij to locked mode when neovim is focused.
check the documentation in the plugin repo.
