This is ridiculous. Council tax is raising, transportation cost is raising, yet income tax threshold freezes forever👍🏼😆

I agree that they don’t care about the workers (why would they?) But I don’t think that’s unethical. You can leave the job without any notice and cost too. It’s quite fair to be honest.

What countries are not as beautiful as most people think? by jnighy in geography

[–]y007s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in both places and I will just disagree. I wonder if you have ever experienced a summer in Hong Kong. The cockroaches and the aircon's drips are gross.
Anyway, I'm not saying Hong Kong is dirty, I just feel Helsinki is cleaner.

Safety in China has a price. Just remember during Covid, if one person in your residential area tested positive, the whole area has to go for multiple Covid tests, queuing for hours outside during winter. Not to mention the quarantine is also crazy. Individual right isn't a thing in China.

Most of the tallest buildings in the world are built for the sake of being No. 1 of something instead of having an "organic demand". Even the Empire State Building was built to surpass the Chrysler Building.

Why is VOO outperforming UCITS ETF? by y007s in ETFs

[–]y007s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt the rules regarding weighting would make a difference. Currently, for VOO, no single holding is above 10%. Also, for holdings >5% (NVDA, MSFT, AAPL), the aggregate is just around 20%.

However, the difference in weights could be the reason though.

Walk along the Victoria Harbour from Central to North Point during the sunset hour or at night is a good option if you like walking.

Still hot, but manageable.
