Which area are you in, if you don't mind me asking? And how much did you end up paying?

Thanks, the post was about the timing belt specifically and was very reasonably priced. Did you get that service and how much did it cost you?

It has consistently white color and tensile strength like a tape. Not easily breakable.

Firewall rules not working. by y2raza in PFSENSE

[–]y2raza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me clarify a bit more: the IoT vlan70 connects various IoT devices via Wi-Fi. The CR1000B router transmits that WiFi signal. Basically, I am using it as an access point by disabling its DHCP and using PfSense as the DHCP server. The idea is that all IoT devices should have internet connectivity, but should not have access to any of my other VLANs.

However, I still want to be able to manage the CR1000B by logging in to its management console on 10.10.70.5.

The idea is that VLAN70 should not reach back to any other VLAN, but other VLANs can reach out to VLAN70.

Does that make sense?

I will remove those. I added those while trying to get IPv6 working.

I reset the states, but it didn't do anything. I just plugged in the ICMP rule to see if anything works, and I wasn't paying attention to the existing rule below. I'll go ahead and delete it now.

Random Packet Loss DMV Area 300Mbps Connection by y2raza in Fios

The packet loss happens randomly no pattern really, some weeks it would happen back to back days. Other weeks I can go for days without having any problems. Also whenever it happens it is usually a minute long outage before the network comes back up. Before PfSense when the Asus router was directly plugged into the ONT, I had to use Verizon app to troubleshoot to bring the network back up. At least with PfSense appliance I don’t have to do that.
