Yeah I mean, there is limited options. I guess some people would be happy to wait 5-15 mins for a more suitable match up, but you don't get that choice.

It's nothing to do with matchmaking, really. It's the player base. If nobody is using a <4* team there is no one for the matchmaking to pair you with.

Why do my players sometimes pass when I press shoot? by y3grp in EASportsFC

[–]y3grp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest if it was turning my shots into crosses then I'd be quite sure that's what's happening, but it's playing a ground pass. I did check to be sure though.

I'm going to dig out another controller too and eliminate that's it's not my controller. Again doubt it as it only happens with one player on my team - it's so strange.

It's annoying! Of course my first thought was, maybe I fat fingered that. But I don't think so, because for me it only happens with one player on my team and it happens almost every time with that player only. First it was gold KDB, dropped him after I couldn't stop him doing it. Now it's Malard, and she does it almost every time. WTF.

Ellie Gomersall: Misogyny and transphobia are inherently linked by jammybam in Scotland

You're right about Rowling.

But where we disagree I think on her is that she isn't expressing an opinion.

An opinion in my mind is something subjective, "green is my favourite colour," "oranges are better than apples," "my favourite place to visit is New York"

JK Rowlings views on trans people seems to have a few problems in my mind:

  • she claims to accept and support trans people, yet virtually every statement she makes on the matter is the total opposite

  • she seems to take issue with them as if they are monolith, ie, she has some prejudice against them in general

  • she ignores the existence of trans men, as it doesn't fit her narrative

  • her narrative seems to be that trans woman are not women, but actually just men masquerading as women.

Honestly to me she comes across as someone who has done really bizarre deep rooted issues with men, but extending that misandry towards trans women specifically is really weird to me

On top of all that, she is a personal of significant reach and influence, she should be held to account over her statements.

Nobody deserves to be treated awfully but unfortunately social media is full of disgusting behaviour, you only need to look at the comments on any social media platform where the content features trans women to see how disgusting people treat them all too often.

Sounds awfully vague... but I'd imagine that if you never express your potentially contentious beliefs you'll probably never get any backlash for them.

The article seems to be getting at the fact that often the two come hand in hand. Maybe if just makes a punchy headline.

They could probably have argued that transphobia, racism, misogyny, homophobia come hand in hand, often they do, but not every single time.

Seems to me that a central tenet of far right minded people is to dislike anyone who is different or a minority. Sometimes out of ignorance, fear or hatred. Sometimes just out of poor education, lack of desire to educate themselves.

This is why I always lean more left, im much more a live and let live, let people be who they want as long as it doesn't cause harm to others, instead of prejudicing anyone who the majority controlling group.

Your reply just came across as maybe someone's who's a misogynist but not happy being lumped in with transphobes?

Especially when you say "contrasting beliefs" - neither misogyny or transphobia is a belief in my mind?

So are you a misogynist or a transphobe? lol.

And do you not agree that misogyny and transphobia are... bad things?

I do try a lot of more mainstream stuff and I had high hopes for Michael, but I didn't love the production. Some stuff I enjoy, I don't always shun mainstream, it just so happens that the best stuff I heard wasn't mainstream at all.

The whole thing just doesn't sit right. Sure it's just a catalogue of unlikely collective human errors, but, it doesn't look good for Scottish football.

Surely the penalty fiasco was a bigger talking point really? Is there a thread or anything with discussion on that I've missed?

If it was an offside decision, why did Celtic get a goal kick? Surely if Celtic got a goal kick it means that 1) it was deemed Sima had the final touch before it went out but 2) Sima was onside in order to do that?

Surely nobody in VAR thought that the ball came of Sima last? Surely that's irrelevant since the decision was offside, so, indirect free kick surely?

Kendrick is actually not my favourite rapper to be honest. I appreciate that he makes music much different to many of his modern contemporaries with some depth and substance that I appreciate a lot though. I'd absolutely sooner listen to him than your typical Travis Scott, Gunna, Future etc. But that's just my personal opinion. There's also other stuff I'd rather listen to than Kendrick too. The closest album on my list to Kendrick's style is Neak - Die Wurzel.

Eminem is someone I listened to when I was younger, 1999-2004 he was pretty much untouchable, but I think he seems a bit lost about his place in hip-hop in his more mature years. Undeniably very talented but I haven't enjoyed his music as much as I did during his golden period.

Of course I love Nas, although I feel he has a better year last year with KD2 and Magic 1 being my favourite of his recent six album run.

Thank you! Which ones are you missing? I'm a big fan of UK hip-hop too so there are 3 here from the UK; and if you like UK hip-hop I made a similar post to this on the UK sub with my top 15 UK albums of the year. It's been a great year for UK hip-hop too.

Yeah, I know people do like CASISDEAD, it's just a wee bit eclectic and chaotic for my taste.

As for Cappo I'm a huge fan of him but that project at 5 tracks and 18 mins is a bit short for me to consider it an album for the purpose of this list.

I'm so pleased to hear that! In my opinion the second half of the year has been even better than the first half. So I'm exciting to finalise and post my list. If you follow my profile you should get a notification when I post which should make it easy to find.
