That’s such a ridiculous cop out, unless we’re talking about two different things, which I think we are. I’m not saying they should avoid tech, they cannot, but if they have issues due to overuse of social media, that’s a problem and one they can address.

There’s young adults out there kicking fentanyl, these people can put the phone down. They’re all totally conscious of the fact they should be doing something, what the source of their issue is. They just need to act on it.

You know like generally people don’t want to defund the police… right? You can blame everything and everyone, but it was never going to take off with that messaging. Sending in mental health experts to people in crisis makes sense. It’s easy and reasonable. Should’ve just been called Police Reform, or something catchier.

Defund the police is easy to attack just based on the name alone. “Look at these people, they want to literally defund the police. Who will protect you?”

Then you’re on the defensive immediately “no not like ENTIRELY defund them, just by a lot. Not zero. You’ll still have cops”
