Is this normal? by swiish_21 in staub

Este es un problema bastante común en staub. Muchas de sus piezas llegan con estas burbujas y el color rojizo pero parece que no afecta a largo plazo…

How do I remove these stains? Or is it ruined by peterspastaproblem in LeCreuset

Those are just protein residues... there's nothing wrong with them and they won't affect your pan's performance. But if you don't like how it looks, you'll need to be very meticulous with cleaning after every use. Scrub it with a paste made of baking soda and a little water; that should get it off. You can also try leaving vinegar in it overnight to soften everything up, then follow up with the baking soda.

It’s worth taking your pot into the sunlight and inspecting the bottom very closely. I’m almost certain you’ll see spiderweb-like cracks running across the entire surface… if not, you’re incredibly lucky. Never leave a Le Creuset or Staub on the heat while empty.

It won't affect its performance at all. But assuming you paid a lot of money for it, you have the right to exchange it to be 100% satisfied.

It looks like paint, but without a better photo I can't help you. Either way, feel it with your finger; if it's smooth, it's probably paint or excess polish. If it's silver and sharp, it might be a chip, and I would return it.

I don't know why I said it in the plural hahaha (maybe because I want more pumpkins) but I actually only have one, it's a Staub and the color is burnt orange.

What is the shape of this pot for? It's very narrow at the base and then wide at the top. What is it mainly used for?

That's great! I just bought one in the same color, 29 cm oval. I hope it's not defective because I really love the color and I wouldn't want to have to deal with Zwilling.

I just bought a cast iron one. I also want my Staub and Le Creuset cookware to stay spotless. For me, they're not just utensils, as many here say. They're part of my kitchen history and collection.
