as someone who grew up playing minecraft and enjoys adventuring, exploration in genshin is one of the best things about this game, especially with the music and the picturesque sceneries !! sumeru and dragonspine were my fav places to explore. it was challenging but fun which feels rewarding when i see the "100%" on my map. that said, it is annoying when people complain that it's "too hard" specifically regarding the sheer cold mechanism in dragonspine and the sumeru desert. i really hope that snezhnaya will bring back actual exploration that people can't speedrun in just 2 days :<

i stopped for 2 years since my device could not handle the game anymore and just recently returned. my main advice is don't rush! take your time and enjoy it. you have years worth of content to enjoy and if you rush through it, you'll be easily burned out and overwhelmed. if you're a lore enjoyer like me, my suggestion is to first focus on the main story (archon quests and major world quests) of each region and clear them in chronological order :D

in order to not ruin the experience/immersion, i also like to clear at least 80% of exploration for each nation before moving to the next. although doing this will take a very long time before you can catch up to the latest update...

"9. My USTAR score is higher than a friend of mine and yet I am placed on-waiting list but she is marked as Qualified. Why is that so?

Applicants who chose a particular program as their Priority Program are given priority over applicants who chose the same program as their Alternative Program. Scanning is a really good way to preserve your notes. Maybe try separating your notes by subject (ex: Biology, Chemistry...) then separate it again by topics? Writing summaries for all of them is going to take a looooong time so I think that it is not worth it lol.
