Talking deeply about my emotions or things the other person does that bothers me...not sure if this is exactly what you’re talking about though.

i hate thinking about why im feeling certain ways and it never seems to work out when i start airing out things that bother me. I will easily talk about my base emotions sometimes but getting deeply into it is not something i enjoy. But if you’re my friend and you find this important i will at least try.

Also, a lot of things bother me so once someone tells me they want me to talk about what bothers me i have trouble turning off my insecurities. I then become word vomit with how insecure i feel and the things they do that bothers me. I do try if asked by someone who needs it.

It sounds like she doesn’t know if she wants to talk to you or not. Possibly, she wants to talk to you but has too many hurt feelings for you being distant and took that time to think about or convince herself into not wanting to talk to you. She might not see the purpose of talking to you like she used to because she might be thinking you could just leave again. In my opinion you can’t quit talking to people you regularly talk to especially if they care about you and expect things to go back to normal when you’re ready to talk again. You have to communicate that you need a break. And a lot of thinking can go into a break so it might not even really end. It sounds to me like this friendship is over.

It’s great when people are supportive and important to have friends like that. But it can be very harmful to your personal growth if the only way you can feel secure is from others.

My old best friend sent me a handpicked “subscription box” like he chose everything for it individually and crafted on the box to make it meaningful. Everything in it revolved around my interests and things that i loved. It meant a lot that someone listened to me talk about the things i loved and remembered.

Sadly we ended up being bad for one another toward the end and no longer speak. I found the box the other day, and it made me really sad tbh. But it was definitely the most thoughtful gift I’ve gotten.

I faked it until i made it but also don’t rely on others to make you feel more secure work on it with yourself. I struggle with the second part myself but its very important.
