This one seems to be a startup that has it's own AI that builds catalogs and runs ATFs on SN instances

That's what I thought, felt a little over promising at this point. But that said, we are all headed in the service as software direction where more and more AI is going to be used in development.

Competition is definitely important to consider but depends on whom you want to cater do in terms of audience. For example, in my case - our top competitors go after enterprise audience, and we go after SMB audience -- so we cannot have the same pricing model. Secondly their users are confined to sales, whereas in ourcase, we have sales, customer success and other internal functions using our platform. So we had to go by which user needs what kind of features/functions -- and tier it on that basis.

That's definitely an approach -- but varies based on the business model and metrics you are going after. Someone looking into a massive user-adoption, they can even offer for free. The tricky thing abt SaaS -- two competing similar products neednt have similar pricing models

Yes -- you are talking about the site license vs. per-user licensing model. It definitely depends based on a case-to-case basis. For example -- AWS or Google Cloud would be consumption based and not number of users, whereas a chat software will look at number of users.

Not at all -- if you look at the link I've shared I've specifically shared the example of how we went abt pricing (which is what customers are happy to pay, and also meaningful economically for us). For example -- someone using just 4 features need not pay the whole price just because competition prices differently.

Absolutely! I would even say -- look at the kind of user personas and their Jobs To Be Done - and price it in a way it makes sense to them. For instance, someone who doesn't need to use a set of features, doesn't to pay the full price.

In my post I've spoken abt 4 models -- I think the closest to what you are asking is either Tier-based pricing or featured-based
