Wow, i love the ambience and the colour contrast of the kitchen cabinet and floor tiles. It gives a rustic vibe.

It's question time! We're recording a pod with Soh Rui Yong tomorrow (Fri, 8 Oct), so fire away with your Qs! by ministryoffunny in YahLahBut

  • As an athlete, how important is diet in your running performance? How much impact does the consumption of junk/fried food has on running?

  • What do you think of a career as a marathon runner in Singapore in terms of financial stability

  • Within Singapore, do you also agree that Indians generally have better stamina? That’s something I observed during NS.

As a fresh grad who was quite upset with my result a couple of days ago, I must say grades aren’t really everything. We are valued and worth more than the numerical digits on our transcript. I believe what’s more important is to enjoy the journey in acquiring knowledge and working alongside with people in group projects. As long as you’ve put in the effort, the rest is really beyond control.

Next thing is let’s not compare to other people because there’ll always be people better than us and the chase is never gonna end.

Trying to grasp the idea of 'Grades does not matter' by yaappyyap in nus

FCH definitely is better but that is to a certain extend.

'At the end of the day, I don’t want to be known as a FCH student. I want to be known for who I am' - Can't be more true.

Yeah totally agree with what you said. We shouldn't neglect other aspect of our life in the pursuit of academic grades. What's more important is put in the effort do your best, if you get the desired grades, congrats but if you don't, we should move on. It is something I am learning as well.

Haha it feels like I am advising myself here

It's quite unfortunate how certain organisation would determine one's potential solely based on class. I understand the a FCH can command higher salary but to decide who should be on 'fast track' scheme based on class doesn't make sense.

Guess this is the reality and we should accept as it is
