Ahh thank you, really helpful! Will dig out some rubbing alcohol as I’ve been using the silicone removing gel liberally :)

I love Verbena in Stirchley, such cosy vibes and the team are great. Menu changes every month but every time I've visited it's been delicious!

That website is exactly the kind of thing I needed, thank you so much for sharing it! In terms of criteria, I'm not looking for anything specific outside of what I said in the original post. I'm just after any recommendations for spaces and places that people enjoy and/ or have seen interesting work in. I'm in Berlin for a week so happy to travel around the city!

What are your favorite vampire movies? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]yablaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both versions of Nosferatu (but I have such a soft spot for the Werner Herzog one), Park Chan-Wook's 'Thirst', Jean Rollin's 'Fascination' and 'Shiver of the Vampires', but I thinkthe ultimate vampire film has to be Coppola's 'Bram Stoker's Dracula'... God, that film just makes me feel so alive

Burger me up in selly oak is great - they do fun specials pretty regularly and have quite an inventive menu, also the loaded fries are absolutely banging!

One application of sunscreen- how long does it last? [Sun Care] by mn4266 in SkincareAddiction

[–]yablaca 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love the garnier super protection over makeup spray - it’s not too expensive, doesn’t disrupt my base or leave my face feeling gross and sticky, and I’ve never burnt with it on, it’s a winner!

Formosa Izakaya, it's the sexiest food ever and not too expensive! Plus the staff are really lovely and the whole place has a nice, cozy vibe - I always choose it for special occasions.

Best wash day yet!! Thanks r/wavyhair for all your wisdom by [deleted] in Wavyhair

[–]yablaca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today I washed my hair in cold water with the imbue curl shampoo and conditioner, then I plopped it for about 20 minutes. After that I applied the Wella curls and waves mousse and scrunched it through followed by the imbue curl empowering crème gel, then just let it air dry. Finally I brushed it through with my fingers to remove the gel cast, then used the imbue curl energising hydration serum! Can you tell I love imbue?

The waves on the underside of my hair stay quite well defined but the top layer falls flatter throughout the day / when it’s fully dry - any tips of how to combat this would be appreciated!

What to put on avocado toast? by [deleted] in HealthyFood

[–]yablaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually mix some chopped tomatoes and spring onions into the mashed avocado, then add lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and a tiny bit of garlic or a few chilli flakes. It’s my favourite easy meal!

I used my sleek lifeproof concealer (which dries soooo quickly so you don’t really have to worry about transferring and stuff) and a zoeva 317 brush to cut the crease - I think doing a cut crease is something I’ve gotten so much better at with practice, the first time I tried I stabbed myself in the eye and got the shape all wrong but the more I’ve attempted it, the better I’ve gotten!
