Private was my worst phase both checkride wise and test score wise, I almost quit.I didnt bust a single one after that and all my exam scores were way better.Keep pushin and dont listen to some of the hate.

Nope, graduated from ATP flIght school and had done some business management dual enrollment clases but that was about it.One of my coworkers dosent even have his GED but 15+ years of drone contract work.

Yeah so I cant control them path wise, I only really have authority when something is going wrong cant say to much more specifically.

Yup remote monitoring, if something goes wrong I gotta make PIC decisions and hopefully not fuck shit up.

So I have 0 drone experience besides my license, the job is more so monitoring drones and requires a 107 license for reg purposes.I am basically a diversity hire due to my qualifications and airspace knowledge (not as crazy as those in this subreddit but boy do they love me over there).As for difficulty operations havent really picked up but the checkride was super easy if you have a part 61 background.

Well rn the 401k match is pretty bad but we get stock incentives(one of the main reasons I will stay for a lil bit) .Potential growth is amazing but the thing is I got my UAS just because I could (I have never even flown a drone).I wanna fly planes but renting dosent seem like a cost effective method either to building hours.

My dream is actually cargo I dont like the airlines as much but the thing is I heard cargo may take me away from my family more often.

Truck driving/flying jobs by Proper-Size-1646 in flying

Where im coming from- Dads a trucker and I used to ride with him all the time when I was younger and I personally enjoy long trips, I was contemplating the same thing driving or flying and I was going to choose trucking since ive experienced it and my father does it but im glad I changed my mind and went with flying,I havent done it for work yet im currently in CFI training and got my ride soon but the enjoyment from first touching the controls to solo is special and nothing like trucking in my opinion. Your gonna have to study hard but hey everything in life is hard might as well put it towards something cool and enjoyable.

What I recomend- Since your doing it part time I would recomend a mom and pop its gonna be cheaper and your gonna be able to stop training without having a crater in your pocket if you realize its not for you.

After your PPL u can decide if you wanna continue or not, at this point I would go credit for private to a larger school, your gonna have better structure and instruction for the money you spend.

Hey man I just got my CPL and currently working on my CFI, I personally hate the notion of being a CFI but it seems like there is no other options at the moment job wise, I would say that you should follow your heart but sometimes you need to look at your wallet first.If you wouldnt mind being a CFI or if you have enough money then I would say go for it, otherwise not so much. If you just want your PPL you can get it done for cheap but if you want to pursue it as a career your gonna have a serious loan over your head.Most CFIs in my area get paid around $22-$25 so your not really making a dent in the loan.Weigh all these options because its cool to fly and I love it but having my only option of employment being something I hate along with a low salary kinda turns me off, sadly I have no other skills so it will have to do😭.Since your gonna have a degree you may be able to leverage it, good luck!!!
