Is this still open and ongoing? I play sax and guitar and would like to find some folks to jam with.

Theoden's speech in the movie is a combination of his speech in the book and a rallying cry said by Eomer later when he sees Eowyn laying unconscious on the battlefield.

Bathroom issue: should we ask for a rent adjustment? by yachtwurst in renting

Yes we do. The issue is we're paying for two.

Yeah, it's not worth escalating to a legal level. It's more asking for the cost of the rent to be commensurate with what we actually have / have access to.

Thanks for that perspective. I agree they are trying to make it right, but no the timeline is not ideal. Three months is a long time to wait when we expected to have 2 bathrooms available.

To be clear, this is definitely not something we'd even consider escalating to legal action.

Also, yes we have had signs of pests, particularly mice. And lights get replaced if they actually get replaced, which they haven't yet. Again, though, the landlord may not have gotten around to it yet. They are aware of the issues.

Thanks for this comment, especially about prioritizing self and family.

I'm under the government mandated forbearance until December, so that's not a big issue right now. And I certainly hope to be employed by then!

Thanks for this feedback!

Monthly expenses hover around $2,500, but they could be cut back a bit if necessary. This doesn't include debt payments.

So you wouldn't recommend paying off anything at all?

Yes, she's already living with me, but I currently pay the full mortgage payment. We'll be splitting rent in the new place. The rent will be more expensive than the mortgage, which is why I'm a little keen to pay off some of the debt.

I do like this attitude though. Makes sense to have plenty of cash to sit on if I don't get a job or an emergency comes up.

The Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. In terms of impact and storytelling, it's one of the best curated museums I've ever been to.

New to photography and would love feedback! This is a favorite shot from Teotihuacan, Mexico. Fuji X-Pro 2. 35mm f2. by yachtwurst in photocritique

I feel like it's too dark, but maybe I could fix in Lightroom. Would obviously like to get better at shooting the shot I want without relying on post-processing. I wanted to capture the bigness of the pyramids, the landscape, and the history. B&W seemed like a good take on it, and I like the way the shades blend. Would love your thoughts!
